Drafting 7th - Thoughts?

I used to like 7th when I was in on Burks. But now I'd be hoping one of my top 6 fall to me. Hall, Walker, London, Wilson, Williams, Olave.

Thanks, yeah I thought about it going into team advice but while there is a personal team question in here, I figured the discussion will be centered around draft values at the 7th pick, which is a general discussion type topic.

No way Hall falls and I doubt Walker will. You are likely looking at one of the WRs falling to you imo (depending on format) . Early reports on Burks aren't looking great, I'd target London, Williams, Pickens, or Olave at the 1.07.

Your most likely targets are Olave, Williams, Burks, Pickens, Moore, Watson, or Cook.

Of this group, I prefer Olave and Williams.

I have the 7th pick as well, so love this thread. Originally traded back from 5 thinking I'd grab Olave, but now I'm starting to think Pickens. Olave has the higher floor (WR2 numbers), but I think Pickens could be a WR1 in the league.

7 has been a tier brake spot in 1 QB leagues all offseason.

A month ago you were looking at likely either Williams or Olave because the following were almost certainly taken: Hall, Walker, London, Wilson, and Burks

Now Burks is sliding but Pickens and to a certain extent Olave are rising. Your realistic options now are (granted at least 2 of these guys will be gone) are: Williams, Olave, Burks and Pickens. Some would include Moore, Watson and Dotson here but I think those represent a clear consensus tier brake.

If you like one the latter three I’d trade back. Otherwise you’re either moving based on camp/preseason reporting (go with Pickens or Olave) or you allow the current reporting to allow a previously more highly rated player fall to you, I.e Burks or maybe Williams.

Personally I’m avoiding Williams if I can. When I have the option I like to place injured players at the bottom of the tier and Williams had other questions as well. I’d be happy with Olave but I’d be more excited about Pickens since he seems to be the higher ceiling option.

I'm all over Williams if he falls. He's my #2 in this class (Hall #1). A lot of guys run fast 40s in the Underwear Olympics, but his speed shows up on tape time and time again. The injury doesn't scare me. This is dynasty.
