I’m competing and took 3rd last year.

Send: D. Watson, AJB, ETN, & Darrell Henderson
Get: Stafford, DJM, Kamara, & Gesicki

QB: Herbert, Watson, Jimmy G, & Minshew
Rb: CMC, ETN, Hunt, Gordon, D. Henderson, C Hubbard
WR- Deebo, AJB, McLaurin, Godwin, Lockett, James Washington
TE- Waller, Schultz, Bellinger

Not sure I love it but wanna push this year. Thoughts?

I would try to find a way to hold out Etienne but I would be pleased to get out of Watson for Stafford in SF. Brown to Moore is a bit of a downgrade for me, but Stafford is a big plus over Watson.

I like it. Stafford gives you a nice QB for several years even though you let go of the Watson ceiling. Kamara is older and will get suspended but is a mega talent and we have no idea if Etienne will be a fantasy starter caliber player. I prefer Gesicki to Henderson. DJM and AJB are dead even for me.

I wouldn’t do it personally. Even if you want no part of Watson, I’d hold until needed to get better value here because it’s almost a guarentee thag some point over the next year you’ll be able to get top 10 overall value for Watson (worst case scenario being next offseason after serving a suspension). Aj brown to Dj moore is a pretty good drop off (probably 2 rounds or so startup value). With kamaras probably suspension and the way everyone is hyping up etienne, I’d much prefer etienne over kamara. I think come this time next year, Watson is worth way way more than Stafford, so to me your giving up value at all positions.
I do understand the competing aspect makes it a little more considerable, but I personally would shop around more before pulling the trigger

I would not be trading away Etienne in a deal to get a 34 year old QB. That is the type of trade you will regret in a big way by 2023.

Your team will get way too old too quickly. Stafford was 9th QB in ppg last year. He simply isn't as strong as many think. I get the desire to move off Watson but once this suspension blows over he could be top tier for the next decade. Kamara is facing a suspension and DJM has never had more than 4 TD's in a season. That guy is allergic to the EZ.

While I understand wanting to get out of and as much out of Watson as possible, you get way older at two important positions. You said it yourself, you took third without Watson or Etienne last season. We don’t know what Etienne will do, but we know Kamara is suspend and that he doesn’t have the same offense or long in the league.

Watson is a huge hold. Much like the Browns, you’re going to have to hold him this year until he gets back on the field in 2023. He’ll regain some value then, or be a starter for a good while for your team.

Watson side for me as of right now.

Why not wait a few days, if Watson is suspended for not the whole season I think it's Watson side easily as he'll be back for playoff run. If he's suspended the whole season it's likely not changing his value as that's currently expected.

Watson side for me too. Stafford is obviously a big upgrade now but value should be on Watson long term. The secondary pieces easily favor that side for me. AJB > DJM and ETN > Kamara. Gesicki would be a nice add in TE premium and Henderson isn’t worth much but that part is not enough to balance out the rest.

I'm confused that this could be overwhelmingly in the Stafford side. I'd much rather find a way to remove ETN and Kamara from this trade as I think ETN outscored Kamara not only this season due to suspension, but going forward.

I get wanting to sell Watson, but missing the 2023 season is baked into the price. Stafford will give you QB1 this season, but I'd be looking into buying Carr or Cousins for cheaper.
