Breakout Safeties for 2022

Who are some safeties that people are high on this year? Ones that you think will breakout, get more playing time etc.

I’ve seen some good things about Grant Delpitt that make me want to pick him up, but there are a ton of safeties out there.

Always looking to upgrade my safety position-Currently only have Jordan Fuller and Xavier Woods (who id drop for Delpitt/ another safety)

Thanks!

not a breakout per se, but Karl Joseph is interesting in PIT and I'm getting him free everywhere

I'm far from an IDP expert, but I'll throw a couple names out there that may do well.
Now, I'm part of a league that rosters around 900-1000 players, but I've picked up Nick Scott (Rams), Damar Hamlin (Bills) and Jason Pinnock (Jets).
All 3 players I got for cheap and I'm hoping that at least 1 works out.

You should also know that Lukky, who is an IDP guy around here, suggested the rookie Nick Cross (Colts) for possible Khari Willis replacement.

Yup he’s very much on my radar- our rookie draft hasn’t happened yet!

I will also throw out Dane Belton - almost certainly, don’t draft him. But I would suggest making him a priority FA. There’s a CHANCE he can earn the SS spot in New York

Again, this is not a likely outcome. But I like his chances if he’s free.

Appreciate it! I have Marcus Maye in another league and loved his production while in NY. Def valuable fantasy wise

Wrong NY. Belton is Giants.

No interest in Jordan Whitehead? He was signed by the Jets. 2 yr contract with $7mil guaranteed, so unless he completely craps the bed, I think he's the starting SS this year.

Good point- he was productive in Tampa Bay. He’s available in my league too

Whitehead should probably be owned.

Who replaces him in TB? Logan Ryan or does he play nickel? Mike Edwards? They seem to like him in a rotational role. Neal will certainly be used like a LB but could take some dime snaps away?

K'Von Wallace? I think hes competing with J Tartt.

I’m guessing Epps would start before Wallace. Anthony Harris is going to claim one of the starting safety spots, and probably either Epps or Tartt for the other.

Picked up Camryn Bynum in both of my IDP leagues. The Vikings use their strong safety a lot in run support so if he can stay healthy he'll end up with a good amount of tackles this year. Plus, he's young and on a pretty decent team.
