Hollywood explosion?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hollywood explosion?

Postby jponte3 » Fri Jun 24, 2022 7:27 pm

Feel like the situation for hollywood could lead to some huge numbers with hopkins out early in the year. Overall, with the history with kyler in general, I feel like he could be a guy who by next year makes a huge jump in value. Do people feel this way as well? How do you compare him to the tier of guys like jeudy, elijah moore, bateman etc

I was never a fan of him. But, after the trade, I would take him for the right price. I think his ceiling is higher than the ones you mentioned.

It could happen, but I doubt it. I’m just not a Hollywood believer. It would be neat if they could develop the scrambling broken play deep ball chemistry that Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett did so well

His value has already moved up with the hype. I am not sure he will get much higher but the trade has him in a much better passing system that will hopefully showcase his skill set more. He is worth the buy if the price is right.

I own him in every league since draft day with no plans to sell. He is a very good player and with Murray he should only get better. Not sure about an explosion but I do expect even a better year this year.

Brown's reception total the last 3 years. 46,58, 91. That is a trajectory that should make all take notice as to his real talent.

I could see 100 receptions, 1200 yards and 10 TD's this season given Murray is an extremely accurate passer and AZ's system is conducive to Brown's strengths. He has a legit chance to be a top 10 WR this year.

If I didn't already own him, I would try to buy if possible. My favorite buy WR's this off season are Brown and Kirk. Not sure the market value but I bet it is fair and not crazy.

To me it seems like a lot of non owners view him as a WR3 type, when in reality he is a solid WR2. I think his production is pretty safe in ARI compared to BAL, so if some big plays break right (stop dropping TD) I could see a WR1 season

Im not a big believer long term or ever being a WR1. He will be a good WR2 though with spike weeks. I’d hope for some WR1 weeks without Hopkins and then sell high, his value will be at its peak.

I am not a believer but would buy at the right price. He’s so slight that increased volume worries me for increased injury risk. Arizona is a decent passing offense but it’s not the upgrade people think it is. Kyler in his three years has 20, 26 and 24 td passes, not mind blowing numbers. Lamar has 36, 26 and 16 (12 games) in the same three years. He has a great opportunity especially the first six weeks but he’s not going to KC, Arizona still likes to run and doesn’t go full air raid like people think.

I paid the 1.09 for him in one of my leagues a month ago. I’m excited to see what he can do with Kyler and no Hopkins.

He’s worth way more than Elijah Moore, Bateman, & Jeudy IMO. Maybe not WAY more, but by a late first.

That’s crazy to me. I don’t think you’re going to find too many people that think he’s worth that much more than any of those guys. Hell, me personally I’d rather have Bateman and Moore over him.

Not sure about crazy; I can't imagine why you think these two are worth more than Brown. He did have 91 receptions last season which was more than Bateman and Moore combined. I do like those two but I would rather have the more accurate QB throwing the ball to Brown who has already shown he can be top 12 in receptions at the position.

People are way overblowing Brown’s situation. Sure without Hopkins he might have some spike weeks early. But guess who finished just behind Baltimore in rush% last year??? The Cardinals. Kyler has never been a huge TD guy. This is not the upgrade many seem to think and I’d argue he’s a sell at his hyped up price especially if I can get Jeudy Bateman or Moore plus a piece.

Murray is only 24 years old. He was drafted to the worst team in the league. Never been a huge TD guy is a bit disingenuous. His TD percent has increased every year and his YPA has increased every year along with his record.

Almost every indicator is improving annually and he has now made 2 consecutive pro bowls as his completion has risen all three years which was 2nd in the NFL last season.

Hopkins is good but he is out 6 games and and anyone that is really watching can see he has lost a step he couldn't afford to lose.

I don't see people over blowing this situation but Brown now gets to catch passes from the 2nd most accurate QB in the NFL vs the 22nd most accurate QB and that is why Brown owners are excited about the possibilities. The fact these two have a history of success is icing on the proverbial cake.
