2022 RFA Auction to begin 6/25/22 at 10am

The Dead Presidents Restricted Free Agent auction will start at 10am eastern on Saturday morning. It will happen on the DLF Forum. Here are the details of the auction...

1. Managers can nominate AS MANY PLAYERS as they want at any time during the auction.
2. When an owner nominates a player for auction on a message board, he/she will title the thread of the auction with the player’s name, his position, and his NFL team. (Example: Joe Montana, QB 49ers).
3. The nominating owner will make an opening contract offer to the player which will consist of the proposed yearly salary and the number of years (if applicable). The offer will be put in the text of the thread the owner started and must be greater than the salary AND years offered as part of the RFA tag.
4. The opening contract offer can be outbid at any time throughout the auction by another owner making a Qualifying Contract Offer, which must either be for a higher yearly salary and equal or a greater number of years than the previous bid, or be for a higher number of years and an equal or greater yearly salary than the previous bid.
5. The "Basic Rules to Bidding" (found in our rules and on the DLF Forum) apply to the Opening Contract Offer.
6. Tagging manager WILL NOT post on their own players.
7. Tagging manager's will have the option to match any bids on their players - after the auction ends - on the MFL message board. If matched, they can sign the player for up to a 5-year contract. If unmatched that manager will receive the bidding manager's draft pick in THIS YEAR'S MFFL rookie draft in the round indicated as compensation. If the bidding manager does not have his own pick in that round, the tagging manager will receive the bidding manager's next highest draft pick.
8. The auction will end when no players have been nominated for 24 hours.
