Moving Ekeler (Poll)

Postby FKC » Wed Jun 08, 2022 3:13 pm

This is for the team in my signature. I’m pretty stacked and have won my league the last three years. I’m looking at possibly moving Ekeler. Around what would you expect in return? I’m thinking a projected early to mid 2023 1st plus a player. Thoughts?

Poll just added. Which side would you take, Ekeler or
Mattison & a 2023 1st(mid with early potential)? Mattison would be insurance since I have Cook.

Ekeler is tricky based on his age. If you can get an early 1st for him in 2023, I would be happy to move off of him even if its a year too early. His value has nowhere to go but down at this point. I think a mid 1st based on the class hype is a bit more realistic but if you can land a 1st + a decent player, I think the return is there. If that is not an option, you hold and make another run.

I’m set to make another, but considering my options. It might be smart to capitalize on his values now since it has nowhere to go, but down as you said. I was offered a 2023 2nd for him and quickly declined.

Your team is stacked but your rbs will start aging out soon, if you can swing that I think I would but you’re walking a fine line trying to stay competitive but also prepare for the future. But ultimately I think you have the rb depth to sustain it so I would do it.

I'd be happy getting an early 1st for him. Hes a top end producer currently, but hes not getting younger. In a strong 2023 class (especially knowing the league is moving to SF in 24) asking for significantly more than an early 1st is probably not going to be realistic.

A late 1st plus a WR prospect would be another option.

Have you considered moving Cook to the Mattison owner for the 1st+?

I feel like Ekeler's long term value is insulated a bit more w/ how involved he is in the passing game.
