OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
Didn't see a thread on this. Thought it might be helpful to have one, just to chat about all the hype, notes, info from the off season work outs.
To start off. Duce Staley basically called D'Andre Swift soft, if you read between the lines. At least from years past. Maybe trying to push him to toughen up a bit.

The Athletic's Mark Kaboly reports Najee Harris is up to 244 pounds. Big man following in Eddie Lacy's shoes?

Must be some good "China food" in Pittsburgh. In all seriousness though, I thought I heard somewhere that Najee played at 240 last year, so if that's true, not a huge deal.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 9:37 am The Athletic's Mark Kaboly reports Najee Harris is up to 244 pounds. Yep, there was a tweet from najee himself saying he was about the same weight he played at last year.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 9:40 amMust be some good "China food" in Pittsburgh. Jordan Shipley, the jags beat who contributed an enormous amount to me getting hyped up on Viska last offseason, is pumping etienne pretty hard this year. Do with that what you will, but I'm putting that beat on my ignore list
Dynasty player since 2002.

I’m not trying to be an annoying Wilson truther but he notes 2-3 bad throws out of an entire practice session. Kind of a weird report to spin this narrative.Straycatz2 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 10:18 am Zach Wilson struggling in OTA

These beat writers man. I love how they all give completion rates for practice. Like it means something. They have no idea what they're trying to do out there.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 12:57 pmI’m not trying to be an annoying Wilson truther but he notes 2-3 bad throws out of an entire practice session. It's funny, because NFL teams want you to play if you're hurt, but when your production suffers and it leads to an injury, they'll use that against you on your next contract.
Lose-lose for players.

So this beatwriter tweeted a follow up that said Wilson “recovered quite well” after the first series. Whatever that means.Kurt G.O.A.T. wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 2:51 pmThese beat writers man. Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
I remember the training camp before Mahomes's 2nd year, someone was complaining about how many picks he was throwing in practice. Reid said he wasn't worried. The rest is history. Just have to take these reports with a grain of salt, good or bad.Kurt G.O.A.T. wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 2:51 pmThese beat writers man. I love how they all give completion rates for practice. Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
It's still early but there's a big difference between INTs in training camp and flat out missing his receivers and showing an inability to progress through the offense.RCogburn wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 5:14 pmI remember the training camp before Mahomes's 2nd year, someone was complaining about how many picks he was throwing in practice. Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
Daniel Bellinger getting some hype, working primarily with the 1st team offense.

Hope it continues. Such a low ceiling play in that offense, but as a WW pickup, hoping I can flip him for a profit.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 6:40 am Daniel Bellinger getting some hype, working primarily with the 1st team offense.
