To trade Kupp or keep Kupp, that is the question

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

To trade Kupp or keep Kupp, that is the question

Postby Hogs2.0 » Wed Jun 01, 2022 6:16 am

For Team 1 in my signature.

My team is in rebuild mode. I recently traded D Hop and Tarrence Marshall Jr. for 2022 1.05

A couple trades I have been debating:

1. Trade Kupp for 2022 1.01 straight up
2. Trade Kupp for Travis Etienne, 2023 1st, 2022 2nd
3. Stay put, keep Kupp and build aroung him for the next two years
Team 1 - 20 Team Superflex:
QB: CJ.Stroud, B.Zappe
RB: D.Montgomery, K.Gainwell, I.Abanikanda
WR: C.Olave, P.Nacua, T.Higgins, J.Smith-Njigba, C.Sutton, N.Brown
TE: T.McBride, L.Thomas, B.Jordan

Team 2 - 20 Team Superflex
QB: L.Jackson, J.Love
RB: T.Pollard
WR: C.Lamb, J.Waddle, K.Allen, R.Doubs, P.Washington
TE: I.Likely, I.Smith, J.Graham

How many allowed on roster? You have 11 players in your sig. If it's truly that small a roster, I think I might do the 1.01 for him. He's worth more so I'd try getting a young dart throw on top. He'll be 29 before the season starts. Maybe post him as trade bait to get more but I'd definitely move him. He's never going to see a year like last year again.

PS-Not an Ettienne believer

We get to keep 11 players each year, but 18 max players on the roster during the season.

I might try to offer Kupp for 2022 1.01 and Kadarius Toney

Kupp is a sell for me.

1. Yes, I'd probably take hall over kupp
2. I'd make this trade any day of the week. Rising RB asset plus a 2023 1st? Smash accept

Kupp will be a WR 1 for a couple more years IMO. Probably top 5 again this year. That saying, I'd take Hall over Kupp.

Habaneros make the best tasting hot sauce. Throwing a bunch of random stuff on top of fries doesn't mean you call it "poutine".

This. Deal 2 is by far the best and an easy accept for me if rebuilding.

Hard to give up Kupp, but for a rebuilding project the first two options are very appealing.

Kupp is a sell in a complete rebuild. I am not in favor of building around RB's early in a rebuild but Hall has big value if you end up going with the 1.01. If you can land a couple young assets and a 2023 1st, that may be a better way to go. The value is here is either of the first two deals for a rebuild however.

I feel the same way. I sent the option 2 over to the other team. Along with another option: Kupp + 2022 4.09 for Travis Etienne + 2022 1.01. I'll reply back if we can get a deal done.
