In defense of AJ Brown's dynasty value...
Seeing a lot of doom and gloom around AJB's dynasty value this morning, here's some "hopium" ("copium?") for those who need it.
1. Yes, the Eagles were the NFL's run heaviest team last year, running the ball 49.9% of their snaps. Would anyone like to guess who was the second run heaviest team last year? Yup, the Tennessee Titans, at 48.8%. It's not like his value was ever based in being in a pass-happy offense.
2. The Eagles last two trades (with the Saints and Titans) signal 2 things to me: 1) They want to pass more (obviously this has no where to go but up, but that's still encouraging), and 2) They want draft capital in 2023. To me, that means either Hurts pops this year or they are drafting a QB early next year. Lots of possible outcomes here, but "Hurts is bad and can't get the ball to their two first round WRs but sticks around for 4 years" just isn't one of them imo.
3. This one is purely my opinion but I am just not a big believer in Devonta Smith. He's a solid #2 but I see him as only a marginally larger threat to Brown's targets than Robert Woods + whoever the Titans would have drafted at 26. I think AJ Brown will command 130-140 targets and he's efficient enough to turn that into low end WR1 numbers in 2022.
If you're worried about his knees, I totally get that. Obviously that's a scary thing that keeps lingering. But if you already had him in your Dynasty WR3-6 range, I don't see any reason to tier him down based on this trade alone.

D. Smith is so good at running routes people think he is faking it.
He is 10x Woods and I like Woods.

AJB has never had more than 106 targets.
This is a push in 2022 and an upgrade in 2023.
PHI isn't married to the run game and either Hurts develops as a passer or they bring in a new QB in 2023.

TEN is a bad a passing offense with Marcus mariota at qb
Corey Davis is the true #1

Buy the dip midseason this year and you'll have a real value gain by 2023

Brown was my favourite player from his class. He has, however, become over valued for FF. His PPG are just not difference making, and he has chronic knee issues. Good player, OK fantasy player. He has been a sell for me based on his value for a while.

Maybe. But now isn't the time to sell. That's for sureFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 11:09 am Brown was my favourite player from his class. He has, however, become over valued for FF. This is all accurate information. I'll be sending out offers to AJB owners.

AJB is going to be fine.

https://overthecap.com/player/robert-woods/2428/“This wasn’t my fault,” Brown said. “I wanted to stay, but the deal they offered was a low offer. The deal they offered wasn’t even $20 million a year.”
The star receiver said the annual salary was around $16 million with the Titans’ proposed extension, with incentives increasing the deal to around $20 million a year. If he would have stayed in Tennessee, he would have only earned around $4 million in 2022 in his fourth year of his rookie contract.
