Chicago Bears NFL Draft

I wanted to start a thread to JUST talk about the Chicago Bears and this draft. So, obviously we're looking at the fantasy players and how the Bears may pick guys that eventually matter—most likely WRs—but also how OL picks may effect Fields. Some thoughts:

1. I expect them to trade back.
2. I hope they take WR/OL early, and often.
3. If they stay at 39 and 48 I hope they take WR/OL.
4. I do think they can move back and get more picks.
5. There are players at 39 that I'd run to the podium to take.
6. I also think you can trade back from 39 to later in the 2nd and get similar players.
7. It's not an elite class, but a deep one, especially at WR.
8. Due to Covid, I heard this class is 150% larger than normal.
9. Bear down. LOL

Thoughts?

I agree that I expect them to trade back (Poles said that is the plan for what GM talk is worth). I also expect them to select at least 1, but probably 2 WR's in the draft. I also expect whatever WR's those are to lose value post draft :)

I moved this to NFL discussion, because this is what it is.

Otherwise we would have to allow for up to 32 total threads about each team's individual draft. Plus, the vastmajority of the talking points initiated in the OP are NFL related.

Still worthy of a conversation though, just not in the subforum of where it was placed.

LOL, I mean, Chicago IS where QBs/WRs/TEs "go to die." IDK. I like Fields, but also don't have any 1st/2nd round picks this year, or I'd go after guys like Olave. I think some VERY good WRs will fall to us. Just depends on how far and how often we trade back.

Okay thanks, sorry, I wondered if I should post it elsewhere. Much appreciation.

So, what did you all think? I really wanted OFF—either WR or OL, so the CB / S in the 2nd didn't sit too well with me. I don't know the players, but people seem to think they are good picks, value, and talent. Hated the WR pick. IDK.

Thoughts?
