I have Cam Akers everywhere. Is he poised to return to prominence or bound to fizzle out?

Where does he rank in the Dynasty RB landscape?

Swift
Najee
Javonte
Dobbins

Zeke
Cook
A. Jones

Value wise, he is still fairly high but he is an absolute sell high for me and I don't expect him to be very good moving forward. As far as production goes, I could see all of the listed RBs out scoring Akers. I know he was working back to healthy but his stats versus workload in the playoffs was atrocious.

He doesn't even sniff the top of the line guys. I'd rather Ekeler, Cook etc too. Akers is toast, IMO. He fizzles out. Not wishing it on him, just think it's the way it's going to go. I'd move him while his value is fairly high. He got over cooked last year, and now there's a secondary sell opportunity. I'd take it. Bad injury, isn't getting passing down work, spotty vision, bad OL, and has hasn't really produced through 2 years and has been nicked up, along the way, along with the achilles. I'm just not impressed. He's been a guy I thought had potential, despite not looking like a natural at the position, being a High School QB in the way McKinnon was in college a lot, sort a read option guy, and he's just not really panning out IMO, for a variety of different reasons.

I think some owners value Akers as a valid RB1 option for 2022. Maybe around half, if my friends, competitors and fantasy site articles.

My personal value of Akers is somewhere between a very low end RB2 down to a sometimes Flex option. I think a combination of ineffectiveness and injuries will fizzle out his fantasy usefulness. Where I didn't own him, I wouldn't seek him. Where I owned him, I'd try to sell asap for whatever I could get, whether that was a 1st, a 2nd, or Davante Parker.

I wouldn't place him in the list of players you listed. I have a hard time believing more than 10% of fantasy managers/reporters believe Akers will have a better 2022 than any of them.
