Keep an eye on Jake Bobo in SEA. I’ve heard multiple reports now that he’s going to be asked to add weight this coming offseason and move to TE. That would be a potentially great fit of physical ability, skill set, and opportunity.

A good opportunity re: depth chart I guess. Not so great re: scheme. One of the lower TE target volume offenses in the league. Maybe that's because of the TEs? But I'm not sure it is.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 6:33 am Keep an eye on Jake Bobo in SEA. I’d agree. When I think “TE Productivity”, the first thing I don’t think of is “Pete Carroll”.tstafford wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 6:44 amA good opportunity re: depth chart I guess. Re: After the big 5 what TEs stick out at ya?
That’s a good point, but is that because SEA typically focuses on blocking ability for TEs as a much higher priority than receiving? I don’t have a good immediate answer on that.tstafford wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 6:44 amA good opportunity re: depth chart I guess. Not so great re: scheme. Noah Fant went to Seattle to die as a receiving TE.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 7:35 am That’s a good point, but is that because SEA typically focuses on blocking ability for TEs as a much higher priority than receiving? I don’t have a good immediate answer on that.
Say what you want about his talent, and Denver being bad, and whatever else - but he had two 90+ target seasons at Mile High. He was at the least involved, and even showed flashes every now and then.
Fant has 32 catches on 43 targets for 414 yards this year in Seattle, healthy and active for all 16 games.
I don't think Jake Bobo at TE is going to be anyone we really need to target for fantasy. (Happy as always to be wrong)

Re: After the big 5 what TEs stick out at ya?
It’s already a 3-way crapshoot for TE targets in Seattle, and they totaled under 100 between them to this point in the season

Is it over for Kelce? Have we seen the drop off the cliff?
Re: After the big 5 what TEs stick out at ya?
I think he eeks out a couple more serviceable seasons.. but his days as Mahomes #1 option are either over or nearing their end.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 1:50 pm Is it over for Kelce? Have we seen the drop off the cliff?

Re: After the big 5 what TEs stick out at ya?
Can we agree that Njoku deserves to firmly be in the top 10? 5th in yards, 5th in catches, tied 2nd in TD's this year at age 27. I'm seeing guys like Kmet, Ferguson, McBride, Schultz, Kincaid getting love in this thread but little on Njoku. Njoku being a YAC monster last week, I think we're finally starting to see what he's capable of.

I'd like to agree, and I think we've seen that Njoku is displaying he's got the talent to be a top tier TE. To me, the problem has been Baker and now Watson. For whatever reason, they never made him a priority target.PigeonBoys wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 3:06 pm Can we agree that Njoku deserves to firmly be in the top 10? 5th in yards, 5th in catches, tied 2nd in TD's this year at age 27. Now maybe this is because the "light" has suddenly came on for Njoku, and he's doing things differently than he had in the past. I'm going to hope that's the case. Because if his breakout is tied to the Joe Flacco Experience, then I'm afraid Njoku could slip back into mediocrity in 2024 when Watson regains the starters role.
Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Agreed. Watson returning scares me big time re: Njoku. Re: After the big 5 what TEs stick out at ya?
TE targets are heavily dependent on QB tendencies.. which is one of the reasons drafting 'elite' TE prospects is a nightmare projection.tstafford wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 4:21 pmAgreed.
