2022 Free Agency/Trades

Postby Pullo Vision » Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:22 am

What teams do in terms of signings and trades are linked, so here we go. After years of being shackled to poor QBs/offenses, Allen Robinson finally gets to experience unrestricted free agency. If Wilson goes to another team, however that happens, I think a Carroll/Bridgewater union in Seattle is a match made in heaven... lol.

I'll try to find a good list of players, but curious what players people are keeping an eye on.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Yeah drafted by JAX. Hit FA with Landry(tag and trade) and Watkins when they all signed similarly valued deal (Landry in CLE and Watkins in KC) Deal expired last year and he got franchise tagged

Okay but point stands, in the off season during the summer of 2018, he was a FA, and chose to go the CHI, he wasnt coerced into it or signed a deal with a good team to be traded to CHI. OP made it sound like Arob didnt have a choice in CHI. He could have gone anywhere but signed with them. As far as Im concerned he brought 3 years of CHI on himself, only this last year on the tag was he forced to be on that team against his will

Bunch of WRs, especially the ones I own Gallup, Juju, Godwin.. maybe Chark and Christian Kirk, but I think they stay with their teams.

Kinda interested where Ronald Jones may go. Just cause I think I can get him for cheap. Fournette.

And more TEs than I thought, Evan Engram, OJ Howard, Njoku, there's some athletic ones that may be a good fit somewhere else.

Could be the most interesting QB offseason in a while if Rodgers, Watson, and Wilson are on the move.

Heres a big one
DAL has Dak, Gallup and Schultz all hitting FA this year. On top of this Cooper has an out that'd save the team 16M. I think its almost garunteed that at least 2, maybe 3 of these players are on new teams next year

Here's the list you're looking for: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/
I agree with most of the guys halfbaked88 mentioned

I'm keeping an eye on: OBJ, Juju, Kirk, Njoku, OJH, Rodgers/Davante
Also intrigued by: Winston, Cam, Conner/Edmonds, Gordon, Mack

Honorable mention: Michael Thomas - this year was very strange in the way things played out. I wonder if he'll be wearing a new uniform

Sonic is always hiring.

POTENTIAL OUT: 2022, 3 YR, $45,448,043; $22,700,000 DEAD CAP - That's a big dead cap hit, but given the bottom line is going up next year it might be feasible to keep him. Is he worth it or the headache that comes with it? TBD. Plus NO seems to have more pressing needs than to humor him. TB could have an opening soon.

You're normally on top of this, so I won't roast you too hard... but in case you forgot, because we literally chased it for years as a story + it had it's own thread here... Dak Prescott is signed through 2025 on an 160 million dollar contract.

I guess you must have missed it!

lol

Yeah, tbh I'm equally intrigued by him staying in NO (i.e. will he provide even close to the same production he did with Brees?)

If he stays in NO then you worry about who's throwing him the ball again. Winston won't be back anytime soon (IF they resign him). Taysom isn't the answer, but he's part of the equation. Being that there's "no top 10 pick worthy QB" this year could actually help out NO drafting one of the better QBs this year like a Corral. Again NO has more pressing needs than taking a gamble on a QB, but it might be their best shot to fire.
