ADVICE - 16 Man, 53 Player Roster Start Up

I joined a 16 man start up with 53 man rosters. Start 11 on offense and 11 on defense.

I won't get too far into the rules, I want to keep this post simple. But one big factor is we aren't required to start a TE, although it is TE premium scoring. Other than that, it's 1 QB (of course) and full PPR.

I have 6th overall pick in a typical snake draft. I'm just hoping for some pointers on how to attack this draft. The only 16 man league I've ever done was an auction, so the start up was fairly easy game plan wise. Should I prioritize QB with my 1st? WR? Just any suggestions y'all can give. Also, recent 16 man start up drafts would definitely help. Link me if you have any.

Based on the number of teams, I would be looking to grab a couple RBs early as I am guessing they will fly off the board and that position will get ugly very quickly. QB is also important with the number of teams but I am guessing there will be options there much longer than RB. WR is the deepest position in dynasty and outside of some kind of great value, I would not worry about TE at all even with the premium. There are just not enough playable options there when you do not have to start one. Good luck in your startup!

Running backs are pure gold in a 16 team league. They are over drafted and nobody trades them because they are so rare. I would spend my first two picks on them.

RBs will be at a premium id try to nab some young ones early even if there a small overdraft. Push defense to the backend of the draft after you have all your offensive starters and a solid amount of depth. QB I’d wait till a run starts I think you can still get good value with a Kirk Cousins level player later on without spending that early draft capital

Looks like I shouldn't overthink this and just go RB. I guess I was just assuming the young studs at RB would be gone already, so maybe leaning QB or WR would be smart so I could get some youth. I'll just have to wait and see how the draft pans out. I don't really want to grab an RB like CMC or Cook, they're getting up there in age. But maybe Swift would be a good option. I'm sure I can still get a good QB in the second round.
