Athletically, Javonte was not on the level of Dobbins and Saquon. These kind of injuries have a way of sapping explosion and speed. Those two had speed to give. Javonte and his *checks notes* 39th percentile 10 yard split doesn't have the same amount to give, to not be a plodder.

I'm not going to reiterate my stance as I've said it, Murphy has said the same thing, and Jigga as well.

So would it be fair to say you’d classify Javonte as a slower, weaker, smaller, probably more clumsy and less dedicated late career Carlos Hyde then, and he also has bad hygiene? I like your bold calls!

Just not seeing it right now, he's not the same player....yet, and the situation sucks. Looks like another lost year of non difference making production, and in fact, detrimental production, as he's doing just enough to consider starting, and not doing much.

With this D, not seeing a lot of Javonte positive game scripts, and the only guy in this offense that excites me for the future is one Marvin Mims. Seems like this roster will be overhauled in the next year and change, and Mims is a keeper, conisidering he's the first pick of this regime, but I think Payton guts this team.

They lost by 50 this week. Have you watched my Raiders the past 2 weeks? They lost to THAT team. AT Mile High. This is a complete tear down incoming....

Agree this is beginning to look like a placeholder season for Javonte. Payton is just setting the table for the offseason where he'll try to unload Russ, draft/acquire a new QB, and polish the resetting of the trenches. He has the job security to let this season be a slog.

Probably. I agree with FF above that it's probably a lost season. He's got 'very good starting RB' in his range of outcomes at some point, and is becoming dirt cheap. I'm still buying if the price is right
