Superflex 1.01 or Justin Fields

Postby #1BucsFan » Tue Jan 11, 2022 5:00 pm

Would you trade the 1.01 this year for Fields in a SF league? My team needs basically all positions. I don’t have another 22 1st but do have 2 early 2nds and 4 2023 1sts.

Short answer: no. Pick will be way more valuable in April.

I would not. Fields seems like a bit of a gamble long term and as mentioned above, the 1.01 will gain value and it's way too early in the offseason to move that pick much less for this return. Hold your valuable pick!

Definitely wait. If the deal is on the table now, it will likely be there come draft time. Hold the pick since it’s will increase in value.

I don't think this 1.1 is going to increase in value. Fields would be the top pick in this draft and he's pretty equal. I'm not a lover, but I would be taking him first. If you believe in him, go for it. The coach they hire will only increase opinions of him. It can't hurt his value.

Definitely the pick. Rookie fever will set in in a few months and people will pay you the moon for it.

On the other hand Chicago might hire Buffalos OC as their new head coach and the chatter is that Fields is the next Josh Allen. I like Fields here.

There's no QB close to Fields this draft. He would be the clear 1.1 if he came out this year

Generally I agree with holding on to picks till closer to the draft but what I find in some leagues is that I have to buy and sell picks early as others will start hoarding them early and won't give them up later and those not too inclined to draft will sell their picks early and have little interest in getting a pick later. This is league specific though as obviously managers are different in each league

I'm a Fields believer, but I'm holding right now for 2 reasons. Like everyone else, the pick will only gain value, someone will get on the hype train of someone and overpay for the pick. The other reason is who is the new coach / gm in Chicago? That all plays a big role in what type of future Fields will have.

Fields might be the #1 QB if he was in this class, but I still don't want him on my team. Give me the pick and the flexibility that comes with it
