Week 17 Discussion

Postby Pullo Vision » Sat Jan 01, 2022 10:23 am

Whether you're playing for a championship, toilet bowl or draft pick slotting, there's alot on the line this week. What are the wild cards for your matchup this week? What are you watching for next year?

Across various matchups, I'm more dependent on the Bucs Jets game than I thought. Whether needing the defense to tee off on Zach Wilson or watching the Brady/Brown/Evans trio, the game could impact multiple matchups for me.

Tons of interesting NFL matchups. Miami v Tennessee and Cleveland v Pittsburgh have alot of playoff implications. Arizona-Dallas and KC-Cincy are marquee matchups. The Giants have Bears' 1st, and get to play them this week.

For next year, I need to see Cortland Sutton play big against the Chargers. Little target competition with no Jeudy, and Lock in for Bridgewater.

I just swapped Amon Ra in for Hollywood. He's been inefficient without Lamar and has a Q tag of his own... I almost regretted not swapping him in last week but still won

I have a decision between Trey Lance and Tyler Huntley for QB2 as well... Matt Ryan firmly on the bench this week against BUF

Other than that, looking to win both championships I'm in. Hopefully no more positives or late surprises. Facing Kyler in both matchups so hopefully Dallas can hold it down. I was actually using DAL DST all year but decided for safer options this week

I am facing Nick Chubb in both my finals match ups, start him with confidence, I am sure he is going to have a monster game..........
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Lol Chubb gets Pittsburgh and they've been exposed against the run recently.

I've been getting nervous about CPatt recently. Limited touches the last few weeks, and horrible matchups. I hate losing because I didn't start a reasonable option and instead was a mindless drone following some start/sit rankings or another.

FWIW I would recommend Chubb owners go out and add someone else from that game as a backup option. You never know what’s going to happen - Chubb could test positive Monday AM and you could be SOL if you don’t have a plan B.

Good advice here, especially if rosters lock after a player's game has started. Waiting until Monday might leave you unable to make a move if this were to happen. You made me go double-check, and I do have Claypool (Chubb is in the flex spot) if something were to happen. But if he were to test positive too...

Honestly, if I have 2 close options, I'm playing the one with the earlier game for these reasons

Swapped out Jefferson for AJB in one league. Am I insane for considering Palmer poverty him in another?

I haven't paid much attention to Tannehill this season. Just looked at his stats. Wow, he has been bad.

He has been - he cost me my semi-final matchup last week - but I’m his defense he lost the best RB in football (in Henry), Julio - their acquisition so he had a #2 WR - has been hurt all year and turned to dust when he did play, and AJB has been hurt half the year. Losing your top 3 offensive weapons will make a lot of QBs stats looks bad.

Yup I'm not saying he's special but imagine kirk Down cook, thielen and Jefferson or wentz without JT and pittman. Don't think they'd do much better

Anyone firing up Mike Evans? I'm on the fence, but right now leaning towards taking the gamble. I also have Tom Brady and I feel like I need the TD upside of Evans. I just don't feel confident starting Boyd or Landry in his place and I need big plays to win the championship.

I'm on the fence too. In past years like this for him, he's played a few snaps then sat. But he has also come back on the field in red zone situations. A TD and 30 yards might make him worth starting. And you never know if he gets two it three red zone scores. So risky!
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

I'm benching him where I have him. The anticipated low snap count has me looking elsewhere but given your situation, I can understand starting him.
