Don't take this the wrong way, i do like him and he seemed like a great guy, but I didn't know he was still alive.

Funny you should say that. On Christmas Day, I was watching some of the John Madden documentary and I assumed it was being aired because he had passed. I had to look it up to see if was alive. Ironic now.

I never thought I'd tear up over someone I didn't know (tv/celebrity/et al) .. but I sure as hell did in the NFL Network pre-game show ..

Love everything I knew about John Madden.
