Ha!! You just never know.

While I'm not a JuJu fan, I will agree he has been more durable than DJ. Maybe not by a lot as he has also missed games, but it is concerning as an owner and big believer, that Johnson gets hurt so much. I don't remember that was a problem in college, but didn't look it up.

Well here we are, over halfway through the year he was supposed to fade into obscurity because of his low efficiency metrics, poor hands, and injury prone-ness.

Sitting at WR12 in ppr in points per game and WR19 overall. Missed one game due to injury in week 3. Pacing 158 targets, 98 receptions, 1190 yards, and 6.7 TDs. Oh yeah, he also has 0 (Zero) recorded drops.

Are we ready to accept him as a legit high end WR2, back end WR1 in PPR leagues? Keeptradecut has him at WR17, which is an improvement from last year maybe signaling the general public has come around on him. I still get almost not reasonable offers for him in my leagues.

I feel like the guys just below the top are always pretty damn underrated. Ala Keenan Allen, I can picture him having entire career where’s he’s a very high end wr 2 / low end wr1.

Guys that peak there are great to own, but no one really pays their worth for them.

I never got off his bandwagon. He is a low end WR1 with upside. He continues to be a target monster. I think I actually compared him to a NuK type opportunity last year when everyone was in full panic mode about drops which he has obviously fixed. His issue was never catch technique related as much as simply taking his eyes off the ball at the last second.

That tennis ball drill is really working.

He is exactly the type of player that is a plug and play starter as he is incredibly consistent. He has zero single digit games this season which is in extremely rare company.

He's not an alpha-X-big-muscle guy or cheetah fast so he doesn't get the recognition. He's probably a hold for a long time. Similar to Keenan Allen like mentioned

I love Diontae, but I think he is a good sell high right now. I sold him in two leagues last week. Ben targets him obsessively, which is great, but Ben is done after this year. I also think Claypool becomes the alpha next year. with a big year 3 breakout

Agree. Dude is always open. And his price will never seem to reflect that. Oh well.

What recognition is he not getting that he deserves?

He's been a good WR2 with the occasional injury. No owner will be happy with him as their WR1 right now. Ben is gone after this year. Pittsburgh has a talented WR room. I agree that he's a clearly good wide receiver, but I don't see the WR1 upside necessarily unless the situation improves noticeably.

Keenan has been a WR1 for years. I don't agree with the Keenan comp unless you're saying he'll develop into a 100 catch/year guy. Seems optimistic, but I guess it's not impossible.

I will just say Johnson's route acumen is VERY good. He may not be quite K. Allen good in that department but he does seem to be undervalued like K. Allen has been for years.

Don't think it will matter much who the QB is going to be in the future. NFL QB's just love throwing to players that are always open and Johnson demonstrates elite quickness out of his breaks on a weekly basis.

Agree on this, Allen has been a low to mid WR1 essentially since he finally got healthy in 2017. Allen seems like the ceiling you'd want (which isnt a knock at all if he turns into that). Boyd(prior to this year) seems like the more likely result, maybe Landry as a bit of a higher comp but still lower than Allen. Again these are not knocks, simply players who more fit that Mid to high WR2 that is always undervalued due to..... reasons of non athleticism, outperforming expectations, etc.

I don’t mind that 1st one at all, especially if Claypool gets more consistent moving forward and provided Deebo doesn’t regress too much after this year. Solid deal.

The 2nd one I don’t love, but if you had strong WRs and weak RBs and were a contender, I totally get it.

Love the first one. There's zero chance I could get Deebo and Claypool for that in my leagues. I'm a Diontae fan, but that's a good move.
