This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

M Brown

Postby dblj1199 » Fri Sep 10, 2021 7:15 am

What does everyone think will happen to M Brown this year now that they are down to signing every 30 year old free agent rb off the street? Crazy that they lost their top 3 rb's for the season, so do they rely more on LJax's arm? Does Brown see a increased amount of targets? Are you buying him?

Just doesn't profile as a WR1, but he will have splash weeks. I really doubt they change their entire philosophy to rely on Lamar's arm, but Hollywood is almost the only healthy option they have. I could see a slight uptick in targets just from his growth as a WR.

He still a solid WR3 and a good target in best ball.

I think Jackson and T. Williams will still run a fair amount. There might be a bit more passing, but that is not really the system for Baltimore. I don't think Brown sees a bump here necessarily and his outlook does not change. Inconsistent week to week with upside still for me.

I loved Brown as a prospect coming out of school. I still think he has a Deontae Johnson kind of game but is in the wrong system to show everything he can do. He's a player who will be up and down a lot this year as usual. Best case is that he lands on a team that has a good passing attack and a void at WR. I still believe but have hated his situation since day 1. Pay attention and buyer beware Bateman owners.....

I’m not buying any receivers from Baltimore. Any RB they put in the read option I think will have success. I really wouldn’t worry too much about their run game. They are who they are and LJ throwing outside the numbers is what he is. Andrew’s is the only guy I want not running the ball.

He looks nothing like diontae Johnson on the field. He’s not nearly as polished WR as Johnson. Brown is a big play guy that has lucked in to extra TDs for a smaller frame WR. If he doesn’t get those TDs this season he will be bench player for sure. I don’t think there’s a good chance he’s startable this season.
