Week 1 2021
Week 1's a few days away. What're you watching for?
From a fantasy perspective, I'm really looking forward to the Dallas Tampa game.

Re: Week 1 2021
I'd be more excited for Dallas Tampa if the Cowboys were fully healthy
Still pretty good opener fantasy wise
Usually though week 1 I'm most excited to see my most drafted rookies
With Bateman out that's Marshall, Elijah Moore and Zach Wilson...
Damn I might be watching Panthers Jets all morning

Re: Week 1 2021
Hard to watch for anything other than 3 starting rookie QBs and Pitts, also the Elijah Moore hype train!!!
Re: Week 1 2021
I'm really looking forward to the Adam Gase Memorial Bowl aka Jets vs. Panthers. I expect this game to be goofy as all heck. If it's close then it'll be because either the Panthers are far worse than we expected, or the Jets are far better - and I'm here for either of those storylines.
Also keen for the underrated "two toddlers having a bun fight" game with Eagles vs. Falcons. Two quite flawed teams (imo) but with a LOT of fantasy firepower on both sides that I know a lot of us are interested in. (I'm looking at you, 90 page Miles Sanders thread...)
Interested to see exactly HOW bad the Bears look with Dalton at the helm, and if he survives more than 4 drives against Aaron Donald. It'll be too perfect if Fields somehow gets into this game on SNF.
Super SUPER keen for Miami vs. New England, something I don't think I would have said personally in quite some time (if ever? I've long loathed the Pats, but Mac is FUN). Lot of fun fantasy questions to be answered there, particularly at QB. My guess is that the Empire is back, evil Sith Emporer Belichick returns with a new apprentice in tow to re-spice the AFC East. That division is low-key trending toward being a bloodbath, perhaps sooner than even I expect. I don't see an easy out other than the Jets D.
Plenty of other marquee matchups that will be fun too, but these are the ones around the fringes that I'm excited for.

Re: Week 1 2021
After spending a month planting my flag on D'andre Swift i just want to see if im right. Im also very excited to see this new Seahawks offense, i have a feeling its being slept on. Think DK is more of a Red zone threat than he was last year, may have less yards but more TDs and catches. The rookie QBs are always exciting, i am of course jacked to see Mac. Is Trevor the real deal? And having fans in the stands again will be awesome.
Re: Week 1 2021
Excited to see Wilson and the Jets. Love the kid's attitude and demeanor and think he's severely underrated (because its the jets).
As a Colts fan, I'm excited to see if Wentz is still broken and who he's going to throw the ball to.
Love the Thursday night game, but have a feeling its going to be a massacre. Poor Dak running into a buzz saw in his first game back.

Re: Week 1 2021
Most interested is seeing:
1) How the reworked Cowboys defense looks.
2) How Pitts will be utilized.
3) If Mac Jones is as advanced as he looked in Preseason.
WR's I really want to see next level improvement from this year.
M. Brown
H. Ruggs
J. Juedy

Re: Week 1 2021
I'm interested in seeing the new Chiefs-O-Lin in Action and if the running game will be now more important in the game plan. CEH can go wild this year.
Also I'm interested in seeing what Pitts really can do. Not much action in PreSeason. And it will be interesting if Chase will be better in the RS after all the hype.

Re: Week 1 2021
I have no idea why they put Rams-Bears in such a primetime slot. Guessing it's to get the interest of two big markets but I could see that game being a bloodbath. Terrible first game for Dalton.
I want to see how Tennessee's offense plays out. No Arthur Smith gone, and it's so top heavy, curious how touches would be distributed if an injury hits Julio or Henry.

Re: Week 1 2021
I would like to give an honorable mention to the Titans offense
Can't say why but I have a nagging feeling Ryan Tannehill is about to have an actual MVP candidate type season if Julio even sticks to his average health record (plays 14-15/17 games, leaves a game or two dinged up, etc)
Especially for the SF league I have a Tannehill/AJB/Julio stack

Re: Week 1 2021
Dolphins v Pats. Which NE TE is viable if any? Does NE have a WR worth rostering? Looking at you Meyers. Is Mac Jones ready or was he just better than Cam? Is Tua going to thrive or flop? Miami has a glut or WR's on paper they look good but who if any are worth rostering? Is Gaskins gonna be legit or RBBC? Gesicki turn the corner or can we finally stop talking about him? I am biased as a Dolphins fan but this game has a ton of questions I want answered.
Also I wanna see Zach I still feel like he is gonna have a very real shot to have the best rookie QB season if those WR's pan out.

Re: Week 1 2021
I'm with you on Tennessee. Juliomight have a good track record, but he's also been playing on game days just to be a decoy. That's where we'd get into a discussion about whether it's better to have a player who plays only if he's 100% versus having a guy who's available every week but might be dinged and ineffective/inefficient.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Tue Sep 07, 2021 9:54 am I would like to give an honorable mention to the Titans offense

Re: Week 1 2021
oOO, its here, love this time of year .. Go Bucs!
Think I'm most curious about Jaret Patterson's use .. followed by Ty'son Williams. Then there's Trey Sermon ..
and Pitts, since he's been all Top Secret and all ..
All of it, all snaps, tbh.

Im curious about who will rise, who will fall, who will emerge and who will sustain throughout the season.
Im excited to see how the Patriots perform with their revamped receiving core and a new QB.
