I mean it was the jets. or more importantly, I think that means Tua has been showing out in practice (hopefully). Also this is their bye week, gives him time to get more of the reps. Wonder if Fitz knew what was happening when Tua took the last snaps... He certainly was chearing him on. Well this is goign to hurt my tank job a bit...

I doubt they trade Fitz. They'll keep him as a backup/mentor. I think his reaction when Tua went in says that he's willing to play that mentor roll this year. Plus, lets not forget everyone thought that miami was going to tank last year. They didn't really, they went out every week with their best lineup and tried to win games. Look at this year in the AFC east. You have the Jets who suck, the Pats who have already lost 3 games, and the Bills who have lost their last two. For a team that wants to establish itself as winners, this is the season to really go out and go for the AFC east. and build on it.

I think its likely always been planned that if Tua looked good in practice he would start after the bye.

I sincerely doubt they trade Fitzpatrick unless they are offered the kind of deal that no team would actually offer. He is by all accounts a beloved figure in the locker room, a great mentor for Tua and a guy who understands that that is his role and seems to embrace it. He has far more value on the Dolphins helping Tua to fulfill his potential then if they move him for what you would imagine is a day 3 pick.

He was playing too well and winning too many games. They need to suck a little bit more and Tua's the man for the job. Mostly kidding about Tua, but I fully believe they don't want to be winning this much this year.

Didn't really see that coming quite so quickly. Most of the time fantasy doesn't work out...bit occasionally I get one right.

I traded Rodgers+Chubb for Tua, AJB, and a 1st last week for a retooling team. Since then AJB has 2 really good games and Tua named starter.

They wouldn't do this if he wasn't excelling in practice. They are 1 game out of 1st in their division and Flores has his sights set on winning.

Fantastic is an overstatement. Everyone under the sun knowns he'd eventually implode with his patented twice/three-times-a-year 3-4 INT game. It's fine, it's who he is now - a really good backup at best.

Like I said in the other thread with the poll, I don't think Fitz's chance of winning a SB this year as their QB are any higher than Tua's.

I don’t think they’ll win many games, the rest of the season, unfortunately. They have now lost for the season, Dak, Tyron Smith(starting LT) Lael Collins(starting RT) BJarwin(starting TE)then on top of that, they are having to start a rookie center because Joe Looney is out, now B.Knight is out, he was replacing T.Smith, so now there on their 3rd LT and using their Center, plus Zach Martin is in concussion protocol. Tons of guys out on defense, which is in the first season of a scheme change, it’s unreal. Really, other than a very talented group of WRs, we just don’t have many healthy quality starters left, at this point.

Yeah, I’m not saying that they can’t because the division is that bad but I just don’t see it. Just too many injuries.
