Just traded for R1P1… Najee, right? Rate my trade/decision please.

I lost in the championship game last year and had already traded away my R1 for this year. That left me with R2P4, R2P6, and R2P7.

I’m a Steelers homer so I thought I’d offer a flyer to the last place team and see if I could get R1P1. He initially wanted DK Metcalf and I was prepared to make the sacrifice, but then he did an about face and instead took:

T. Brady, Deebo Samuel, AJ Dillon, James Conner, and R2P4

The only person in that trade I actually cared about was AJ Dillon. I have Dak and Stafford and I suppose Brady was an upgrade to Stafford. Both Deebo and Conner were always trade bait for me.

He would have done the deal without me giving up James Conner too, but I felt like I was taking too much advantage and offered to include Conner.

Did I give up too much?

My plan is to take Najee (not Chase) and just looking for opinions.

1. Did I give up too much? Not enough? for the R1P1
2. Looking at my team, do you agree Najee is the right choice?

A bunch of nickels for a dollar. That's ridiculously cheap for 1.01

Najee is the best choice for another run at the title. Kelce, Hopkins and Evans are on borrowed time, and Najee is an instant upgrade to your RB2 slot.

In 1qb that was first degree robbery. I'm not sure if I've seen a cheaper trade for 1.01

Very cheap for the 1.01 and yes, take Najee. Especially in a non-ppr league like your signature states.

Very nice deal for you! I'm shocked this was the asking price with it being a 1 QB format especially. If Harris is your guy, take your guy! I think Chase is the 1.01 in this class, but Harris or Etienne could be right there also.

Thanks everyone! It’s one of those things where I KNOW it was a good trade, but the fact the other guy seemed happy just threw me off like ‘what am I missing’? He just made me second guess myself. He really just has such a bad team he valued quantity of players/picks over quality. He has Wentz and Tua, but has been scared of Wentz injury too.

I also needed to hear that I should get my guy because being a fan I’m always worried I’m letting personal fandom cloud my judgment. But I do think Najee helps me win more now and with not having to give up DK I can pass on Chase. Oh, I’m also in talks with an owner that has both Woods and Kupp that I’m trying to get Woods from him… maybe Kupp, but by trading lesser players and picks.

As for the single QB comments, the owners in this league way over value QBs. There are guys that have 4-5 QBs on their roster! It’s only a single QB league, but trying to trade for a QB is like in a superflex/2qb.

My league is a 1 QB also where QBs are valued super highly. All TD's are worth 6 which likely contributes. Crazy that Brady tipped the scale this much though! He is a great QB but his age is the surprising part. I would understand slightly more if it were Mahomes or Burrow or a younger QB but this is pretty wild. Great one for you though!

Nice deal for you. My 1QB is crazy too. I traded Daniel Jones before last year's rookie draft along with a 2021 2nd and 3rd for 2020 2.3 & 2.4 and a 2021 1st.

Now I’m just hoping I can use next year’s R1 and maybe Evans to upgrade my 3rd WR spot. It’s weird to have concentrated my talent so well that picking my 10 keepers looks like I’ll end up keeping a defense. Strange! It’s either the Ravens, Philip Lindsay, or Ito Smith ‍♂️
