1QB Dynasty Startup - #1 pick or #7 pick

I was recently offered a full pick swap to move down from 1 to 7 (12 teams, 1QB, .5ppr)? Thinking about accepting and my reasoning is that by taking CMC it seems like I have to build a solid win now team to not waste his prime years, on the other hand - being at 7 allows me to snag two young WRs potentially (JJ, Metcalf, CeeDee, etc).

Was hoping anyone involved in startups this year could let me know what they think or what the best general startup strategy has been most successful in your guys leagues, thanks!

f you could land Jefferson and Metcalfs rights by moving CMC essentially, I would jump all over that. I'm not sure this is a guarantee to land both and being at #1 does not mean you have to take CMC. You could build around a younger back like Taylor. Either way, you get your choice of all assets at the 1.01. Trading back without gaining more picks in the process does not seem worth it to me.

Not a trade I would make. Just seems your leaving alot of value out there if you were to move the picks individually.

Agreed, you need to gain picks instead of swapping.

Nah rather have the 1. If you move from 1 to 7 you need to be getting extra picks not swaps

I'd look to sell CMC (1.01) separately. Kinda one of those trades that he loses value when you package him.
