Did you buy or sell Britt?

Postby Risky bidness » Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:44 pm

Kenny Britt smoked the Ravens for 135 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions in the Titans' 26-13 upset victory.
Going back to last season, the Titans average more than 25 points per game when Britt is healthy and starting. A true difference maker, Britt gained separation on Baltimore's corners throughout the game. After back-to-back plays of 37 and 16 yards, he boxed out Domonique Foxworth for a 4-yard touchdown. Matt Hasselbeck is easily the best passer Britt has played with, and the result has been an average of 7/135.5/1.5 through two weeks. There's no question the Titans can move the ball through the air.

I bought as I thought he was an elite talent. He has the knuckle head factor, but is still a youngster. MONSTER!

I gave up Michael Vick and a 2012 2nd for Kolb, Kenny Britt and 2012 1st. I like it even more now!

I simply held him. I liked what I saw last year enough to not sell low on him. He's still a bonehead, but I really don't care about his personal life as long as he puts up stats. He's still riiiiidiculously young too...

Sounds like you think he's a buy even at his current value/production.

Passed on Britt during my August startup when amazingly he was available in the late 5th. Having drafted Dez Bryant, Finley and Julio with three of my five picks, I elected to take.....gulp....Beanie Wells because at that point I had only one RB and it was J. Stewart. So essentially I took need over talent when there was no reason to, and I loved Britt. When the next guy passed on Britt I wanted to move up again but fell asleep and never made an offer.

Needless to say Britt was the play, not Beanie.

Well, I wouldn't buy him THIS week, as I think his value is particularly high after his first two weeks. I would wait until he has a gun charge or something to buy him, or a couple bad weeks in a row or something. However, I think he has elite WR1 upside, and I think his value is more likely to rise than fall.

If he has that, he´ll be out for a year...

I got him this summer for big mike williams when it looked like he was going to be suspended. I think this guy's behavior has caused him to be strongly undervalued by many. Maybe not for long tho.

In re-drafts Britt is a sell-high, in dynasty he's a field offers but don't trade unless you're overwhelmed. I landed him in a trade right when the legal trouble started- gave up Starks, Knox, and 1.1 (Ingram) for Spiller, Britt, and 1.2 (Green). Needless to say I'm very happy about it. Hasselbeck can get the ball to him and Washington seems to be adequate enough as the WR2. Britt may be even better when CJ gets going, as he got 23 carries today for <60 yds.

I like Wallace's situation better, and obviously he's less of a character risk, but I Like britt's talent more. It will be interesting to see which one of them scores more the next 3 years.
