Diontae talks...

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Diontae talks...

Postby WookieWarhol » Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:09 am

16 team full keeper, 2qb format

Qb- herbert and Ryan
Rb- Gibson, McKissic, Ahmed, Dallas
Wr - DK, Jones Jr, Fuller, Diontae, Lazard, both Ians in Buffalo
Te- Jonnu and Troutman

I have no draft picks next 2 years
Need another rb to compliment Gibson and secondly need to upgrade bench...

I'm thinking of trying to grab an rb but not sure how much to give up....

Diontae for Mixon could be a thing, but not sure if I'm coming up a bit short on the offer or if I'm valuing Diontae too highly, or if this is something that should work.

Johnson for Mixon may be a bit light in the format but I think it's a fair opening offer.

I think Mixon's value is growing with all of the volume talk to the point where he's valued more highly than Diontae. Last season, Diontae was def ahead of Mixon. It's relatively close. I'd rather have Mixon but Diontae is a special player... just carries some concern with long-term QB play.

I prefer DJ over Mixon. If I was dealing DJ I would target a more productive RB and add to DJ if needed.

in this format a volume RB is worth well more than an inconsistent WR2. I am not a Mixon fan and see this as very light

A duo of Gibson&Mixon is great in 16-team league, but I doubt that Diontae gets it done.

16 team 2QB? Only 32 starting QBs in the league. Just curious. Do y’all take a 0 at a QB spot on bye weeks? Do some teams have 3 starting QBs or did everyone get 2?

You did not ask me, but I run a 14-team 2QB league. In that league, everyone is limited to 2QBs. During bye weeks, owners have the choice to cut a QB and pick up a replacement, or take a zero for the week. Teams that have two studs usually take a zero. Last year, teams that had someone like Bridgewater/JimmyG/Tua cut a bye week QB and picked up one of the FA like Darnold or Trubinsky.

This season, I think I'm going to tweak the rule to make it a SFlex league instead of a 2QB requirement. That way, teams that have two stud QBs can avoid cutting one and not suffer a zero.

FWIW, in the two seasons so far, I chose to take zeros during QB bye weeks. I won 2 and lost 2.
TEAM 1:
12 Team ppr w/20 keepers - start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1FLX 6IDP 1DEF

IDP:(LB) Bolton, Greenlaw; (DE/DL) ZCollins, BJHill; (S/CB) Pitre, Bates, Witherspoon

TEAM 2:

Great info. That helps me understand it better. Thanks!

Not necessarily. This is why having the strongest bench you can possibly put together is important. You slide your best OP player in for those weeks. League rule is you can only roster 3 qbs (ir spots don't count so you could technically have 5 qbs rostered if 2 are on ir).

Its really a qb spot and op spot, but 2qb league so everyone starts qb1 in qb spot and qb2 in op spot

So yea it's more a SFlex... we've just been doing it for 21 seasons lol so we've just referred to it as 2qb league
