FiremanEd wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2020 12:18 pm I may be looking at it wrong, but the fact he was injured makes me feel better about him. He had a down year last year, but was still solid, and he had this injury. Makes me more confident in a rebound.

I’m not that concerned about a lingering issue.
Exactly how I look at it. I actually feel better about him and I think everyone knew he wasn’t full strength last season.
One can hope but feeling better about a knee injury for RB?????

Thinking there is an oxymoron in there someplace.
Yeah, him being unhealthy last year was given on a few different injuries. Adding a knee injury, it's a case where you see he wasn't right last year even more than was thought, which is good for your interpretation of his season last year, but there is no logical argument on why it's good for his outlook going forward, in terms of his health and long term prognosis.

There is never an argument where more injuries to a player's injury list is good for his career. It's a case of owners wearing rose coloured glasses, trying to see the positive side of why he didn't play well, which is fine, as long as we're simply talking about why he didn't play well. If we are talking about another injury (that wasn't reported BTW, so not sure what's going on with that an the NFL's protocol) as a good thing for his career outlook long term as a RB in the NFL, it's a bad piece of new info, and that's really all there is to it.

Anytime an explosive player has a knee injury is causes some concern for me. While I agree it helps explain the 2019 season, it does not give me optimism moving forward.

Basically what I said, but "in a nutshell". You would be a great editor.

The confluence of the injuries and the departure of Ingram last year make Kamara's situation ripe for differing opinions. Add in the potential for lingering injury impacts and it's even less clear. His performance this year will be one of the more interesting plot lines to follow. However, it doesn't appear his value has dropped much in consensus rankings. A wide range of outcomes appears possible but rising above the dynasty overall No 5 ranking seems unlikely. If I owned and was moderately concerned, I'd consider selling as a hedge against the risk given how he has thus far insulated his value.

For sure, just to make sure you understand, it was a compliment. I was sitting there thinking: "Why didn't I sum it up that concisely?"

Am I the only person worried about his plant based diet? Am I crazy for wanting CEH over AK in redraft because of injury concerns?

And it's going well for players like Tom Brady and Tyrann Mathieu.

Oh, I'm sure it had nothing to do with anything else

Re Foster... He stated he went Vegan in the summer of 2012. He posted over 1600 total yards and 17 TD that year

That makes me feel better actually. Thank you! I know this doesn't happen often on the internet but I've changed my mind after being presented with new information.

Kamara Holdout?

Postby Kelldon » Mon Aug 31, 2020 1:14 pm

There has been news of a potential holdout with Kamara. Wheat is everyone's opinion on whether this is true and if it goes into the regular season? I just traded for him this offseason, hopefully it gets worked out soon.
