Edwards seems much safer. Ruggs looks like a straight homerun type with little consistency but it may be too early yet with his draft capital also.

Edwards is an NFL WR, Ruggs is a fast toy

This

Edwards probably isn't very good based on his year 1 output

But Ruggs just plain sucks

Sucked in college, sucked as a rookie. Those types of players generally just suck (see: Hardman, Mecole)

Based on limited output as rookies, I'd revert to draft stock investment by the team and go with Ruggs. Ask again after their Sophomore seasons.

As usual you should not own Oakland WR's.

Edwards in a battle of the weak and terrible. Ruggs appears to be nothing but fast.

You guys are straight tripping. Its easily Ruggs no contest (I'm not even a fan of ruggs). He has the Draft capital the upside and has shown more year 1 and has more chemistry with Carr and the offense. Edward's has availability issues out the gate and those guys rarely hit after missing most of year 1

For the price, Edwards. Straight up, easily Ruggs. Draft capital does it.

Ruggs had 26 catches, the draft capital is gone and how does one have chemistry with that production? This is another Raiders/Gruden/Mayock miss. He is the next DHB.

Ruggs might appear to be nothing but fast, but Edwards appears to be nothing at all.

Ruggs.

PFF did a breakdown of similar height/weight/rookie stat breakdowns of other comparable WRs and it was one ugly list.......Donnie Avery, Corey Coleman, Dante Pettis, Titus Young etc......

I'd go Edwards, he has NFL strength and body control. Speed is an issue, but time will tell.

Other NFL receivers with whom speed was an issue:

Jerry Rice
Terrell Owens
Keenan Allen

I will take routes, size, hands over speed every time. You run routes, not 50 yard dashes.
