Diontae for 2 2nds?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Diontae for 2 2nds?

Postby mzkp54 » Sat Apr 24, 2021 7:40 am

12 team SF PPR IDP

Give Diontae Johnson
Get 2.02/‘22 2nd

My team:
QB: Russ/Stafford/Lock
Rb: Chubb/Sanders/Rojo/Harris/Fournette/White/
WR:Diggs/Lamb/Diontae/Sutton/Chark/Landry/Reynolds/Hilton/Meyers
TE: Goedert/Thomas
We start 9 offense and 9 IDP- I think my IDP is pretty solid.

I think I have the WR depth to move Diontae and I’d like to add a bit more draft capital. With IDP and SF it could be a solid pick. Is this enough of a return for Diontae?
12 tm/PPR/SF/TE+/Full IDP (start 11/11)/Contracts
QB- Kyler, TLaw Stafford
RB- Cook, AJones, Zeke, Chandler, Dowdle, Mitchell
WR- JJ, Lamb, ARSB, MHJ, DJM, Worthy, QJ
TE- Engram, Schultz
PK/CB-
DT- Wilkins Vea
DE- Bosa, Landry. Greenard Ebukam, Young
LB- Campbell,Speed, Colson, Mcfadden, Dodson

I would rather hold Johnson. I think you could get more in season if you are looking to move him.

I'm holding DJ here easily as well. Even with juju and Claypool on board we saw Big Ben target DJ regularly. I think he takes another step forward and becomes even better, but even if he has a dip this szn I'm still holding.

since he's solidly your #3 wr, a tier above those behind him on your depth chart for me - I'd hold him. maybe see if you can move Chark or Landry for that.

I’m holding Johnson too. I don’t play IDP though. Between that and SF I could see this being a solid offer. I think DJ could really break out this year though so I’m buying and not selling.

I'm most likely holding DJ here, it's just not enough to move him. What other picks do you have? Is this his original pick? If he's rebuilding and has a poor roster and will most likely be bad again this year I may do it for his 2022 1st instead of 2 2nds.

It was a startup this offseason so picks were drafted and not earned. I kept finding vets to be the better values over picks in the startup so my only picks are 2.12 and 5.02.

I know that when rookie draft rolls around, and you don't have picks, it kinda sucks; you feel left out of the game. But hopefully you made all the right choices in the startup. Hold Diontae and see what becomes of him. Dude can be really special.

I'm not a big fan of Dionte, but even I think the offer is a bit light. Unless he breaks out big or you can start 4WR, he might not start for you except in bye weeks, but I'd rather hold him than sell him for 2 2nds.

If you really want to move him, I'd look into packaging him with JRob and getting a better, more secure RB option for your RB3.

I am looking to sell due to my hatred for what the Steelers offense has become. Diontae is a great player that can get open seemingly whenever he wants against whoever he wants. I wouldn't give him away for this.
