Trade 2021 first for 2 2022 firsts?

Team 3

Major rebuild. Received an offer of 1.04 for 2 2022 firsts.

One first is from a mid team (5-9) but the other is from a team with a build similar to mine. Should be a top 4 pick next year.

Your rebuild looks to be off to a great start based on your build for team 2. I would rather hold the known early 1st. I can see the value but picks are tough to predict a year out no matter how obvious they seem.

Sorry, It is for team 3 not team 2! Team 2 was my rebuild project this year so I am just so used to saying team 2 for a rebuild!

Got it. I still like the known early pick, but this team needs a lot of help so I would make the deal if you could get a young piece added on top of the picks.

Agree with Gator. Another piece would help me make this deal. Otherwise you likely take Wilson/Fields, Chase/Pitts and still have 8 and 11. You'll probably be 0 RB for another year but that's not a huge deal

I can’t get the 1.12 (or better) for a future (rando) 1st.
Single QB albeit
To use that as a guide, I think two future rando 1sts still doesn’t get you to the 1.04 this year

Nope. Stay put. with 3 and 4 you either go RB/RB or Chase/RB or sub in Pitts into one of those scenarios. This year's picks can really start shaping this team. Start the build now and don't push it off for another year.

I would hold 1.04 pretty easily in SF.

With both the 1.3 and 1.4 I'm holding and looking to see who is there. Possibly rookie fever hits when your on the clock with the 1.4 and they will pay up more for the pick.

I would probably even reject that in a standard league.
I'm pretty confident that Lawrence, Chase, Harris, and Pitts will be better than any prospect next year in a SF TE premium format.... possibly by a lot.

Given the state of Team 3, I am most likely trading the 1.04 for as much as I can get and I would also suggest the same for the 1.03. Most importantly though, I would wait until you are OTC before trading those picks unless you get offered a ridiculous offer that you can't turn down (aka a King's ransom). That is when the picks will be the most valuable as someone (or multiple owners) will be salivating for whoever is currently available at 1.03 and 1.04 especially in a SF league.

I say trade out because of the state of your team. You only have two QB and one of them is DeShaun Watson who likely could be suspended this year. The other is Joe Burrow who is coming off an ACL. That alone could easily help your team suffer defeats all year, thus resulting in you obtaining the 1.01 next year, which will also be worth a boat load of picks as well.

Your RB squad is nearly non-existent and your WR/TE squads are just okay.

If it's me, I'm melting those 1.03 and 1.04 down into as many 1st rounders and young/upside starters as you can get. Maybe the guy will give you a young/upside QB plus the two 2022's for the 1.04, just a thought. I'd also try to trade Pollard and Mattison to the Zeke and Cook owners for 2nd round picks in 2022 if they won't give you 2021 2nd's. Either way you need to completely rebuild. Adding studs to a mediocre roster will take years to build, in the meantime you're donating your time and money. I've burned down and rebuilt a few teams and it's much better than using the 1.03, or 1.04 etc this year and still sucking. Plus if you have too many upside players on a bad team it will prevent you from obtaining the 1.01 or 1.02 next year which should be something you want to keep in mind if you are rebuilding. Ideally you want the 1.01/1.02 yourself with as many other 1st and 2nd rounders for next year. Then you can effectively rebuild, or you can trade those picks into a competitive team, depending on what your goals are.

In the start up draft, I specifically avoided all RBs to tank my max PF to get 1.01 next year. I drafted handcuffs as leverage for a couple seconds. I knew this year was going to be a throw in so I went picks and youth. This league is full of people afraid to get burned by a trade right now so there is almost no movement. I sent offers during the start up and couldn't even lose value on trades to move up OR down.
