I was offered a package to move down in team three of my signature. Was interested in a price check?

This is year two in this league, and I feel pretty good about my QB position, I also rank Etienne over Harris so I'd likely 'reach' If I stayed at 1.03. I'm pretty confident at least three quarter backs will go in the top five picks, so I'm thinking a trade down here could be good.

I've had the 1.03 on the block for a few weeks and this is the best offer I've received. What do you all make of it?

I think based on the fact that you have etienne over harris, that makes me much more keen to make this deal. Guaranteed Harris goes top 5, and if you think 3 qbs go top 5 also, then possibly scooping chase or etienne would be nice, plus picking up those 2 seconds.

If I stay at three I'd more than likely be taking Etienne. So trading down will enable me to bolster my team's depth and potentially still land me Etienne. I just have to divorce myself from the ability to choose my target, and be willing to take BPA at 1.06. Even If that means I end up drafting a QB or Pitts.

Might be a bit light if you look at what that move up would usually cost, but given your breakdown/taking etienne at 3 I think it’s worth the risk. 2.03 is at worst the 6th wr off the board which is a nice prospect.

I'd trade down given your QB and you locked in on taking RB.

There is some risk since ETN could jump back up to the top running back after the draft based on landing spots. But if you don't need a QB and are confident at least 3 will go before 1.06 then it seems like a good deal.

I'd rather get "my guy" (ettienne for you), than move back for pick 15 and 21. Just too late in my opinion. This seems really cheap this year. Honestly....in a few weeks you may need 3 to get ettienne.

If you will be happy not getting etn, then I can see it. But I have learned that if you have a guy, take him when you can because you never know what will happen. Also, value alone in a SF, the offer is not enough.

Yeah, I accepted that I have lost my ability to decide my future. If Etienne surges then he won't be on my team. While I would love to take a RB, I only have two in my top six picks, so if they're both gone I'll not be reaching there. I don't really want to trade down again, I think the middle of the first round is strong this season.

The team at 1.01 has basically said not to bother him for the pick and that's he's taking Lawrence. I also know for sure Fields is going in the top five, as I have insider information. I also suspect Lance will go in the top five as one of the owners is a huge Lance fan and has major needs at QB.

So if all of that stays true, I'll get one or Etienne, Harris or Chase. But I'm going to start grinding tape on Zach Wilson/Kyle Pitts/Trey Lance incase things change.

I have Etienne as the number one back on my board, but I rate him lower than I did both Taylor and Dobbins last year. I have Chase, Lawrence & Fields all ahead of him. I'm just extremely weak at RB and relatively strong at QB and WR.

The way I was looking at it was like this, Etienne was already 1.04 on my board (after watching tape on the consensus top 10 WR's & RB's, and only two incoming QB's). So by staying pat and taking him at 1.03, I'd be leaving value on the board. But I knew I liked him enough, that I wouldn't pass on him just for BPA.

So I put the pick on the market, hoping to trade back slightly and acquire some extra value (either prospects or picks). But since I still wanted a relatively early pick, that limited my partners. Also the owners at 1.04 and 1.05 both traded out for significantly less than I just got. So that kind of depreciated the market further.

I could have held out longer, hoping for a better deal. But that felt a bit like bluffing, as I didn't really want to stay with the pick. But yeah I appreciate all of your responses. You guys are an invaluable resource!

As others have mentioned, if you dont mind losing a specific player trading back makes sense, but I'm not sure the value is great here, but not bad either. I would hold.

I think you could use the extra picks. Especially considering you don’t have a 2nd. You’ve got some nice stars, but are a little thin in terms of depth. All of that plus the fact that you prefer etn this move down makes sense to me

Move down due to your QB and RB situations. You don't need another QB and desperately need a good 3rd RB which will be there more than likely in Etinne or Harris.
