Yeah I don't think anyone knows bleep what they are going to do

That said I would take the field over Fields if I had to bet and Wilson if he somehow fell there

I would not at all be surprised if the 49ers were creating “a smoke screen” despite having absolutely no reason to do so. NFL front office types are paranoid weirdos.

Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock sent home their entire draft room so nobody would leak that they were taking Clelin Ferrell 4th overall.

I wonder if ANY team had Ferrell even close to top 10 let alone 4th overall?

they did a good job of duping the bears on trubs. maybe they have some indications that the falcons really like jones. or that they don't like him, so they won't try to trade with the jets to get who they actually like.

Kyle's dad Mike also had a giant smoke screen when the Broncos drafted Jay Cutler. They didn't visit with him, talk to him, and even Cutler was blown away by it.

Unrelated, Cutler has permanent "douche bro" face.

My very out there thought is that SF swaps 3 and 4 with the Falcons in some manner to get Matt Ryan and Jamar Chase or just selects Chase at 3 and acquires Matt Ryan from the Falcons. If everyone keeps falking like he wants a Matt Ryan type player to get to the promised why not just go get Matt Ryan for the next 5 years.

Falcons literally can't afford to trade Ryan, it would destroy their cap.

Because Matt Ryan hasnt had a winning season since 2017, and hasn't made it to the pro bowl since 2016. He is going to be 36 by the start of next season, I doubt he can play at his usual mediocre level until he is 40. He has been at the helm of some of the worst blown leads in the league over the past couple of years. Admittedly its a team game, but in crunch time this guy holds up like a wet napkin.

Lmao the guy has one of the highest QBRs in playoff history in SB 51

Is the Texans blown 24-0 lead the fault of Deshaun Watson?

"Usual mediocre level"

Before Mahomes I would have killed for the Chiefs to have a QB the level of Matt Ryan--and I don't give a damn about "QB winz"

Like the Rams trading away late 1st rd picks in the short term to go after proven vets during window of Super Duper Bowl opportunity.

I know , in this case they are moving up for a rookie but the next two years that rookie 1st rd money will be saved to get a vet. Locked up guys @ most positions and likely decided Watson wasn't going to happen so went after an upgrade @ QB aggressively. Weren't going to get one @ 12

In Redraft I would take all 14 of these guys before I take Matt Ryan. Mediocre isnt bad, having a not garbage QB is a big thing for most teams, its just nothing special, and he isn't getting any better as he starts to push into the later 30s

1 Rodgers
2 Russ
3 Mahommes
4 Brady
5 Herbert
6 Watson
7 Lamar
8 Murray
9 Prescott
10 Tannehill
11 Burrow
12 Stafford
13 Mayfield
14 Cousins
15 Ryan

And in retrospect... maybe they wouldve known he was a trash leader if they had gone over to speak to him face to face and get a feel for who he was as a person

Agreed, a huge part of team success is team chemistry, that is how an NHL expansion team made a solid playoff run in their first year (admittedly they got a pretty sweet deal in their expansion draft, but they were mostly made up of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th liners, and some guys really stepped their game up, or was it the chemistry that helped them blossom?)
