If I was a competitive team in need of a RB, Id move my 2nd (late) for him now. Otherwise I'd throw a 3rd at him.

Realistically, how many teams need starting RBs? And is Conner even better than other free agents like Jones, Carson, Drake, Fournette, Mike Davis?

I actually don't think it's probable that he's a starter next season. And if he is, he could lose that job pretty easily.

I think he's not worth more than a random third. So, there's upside there at that price.

There are a handful of NFL teams where he could get fantasy-relevant touches. That said, I'm done with him. I was rolling with him as an RB3 for a contender of mine last year, and he was an RB2 the previous two years for multiple teams. He failed in that target role all three years. He's dropped to Mike Davis gamble level for me. I'd prefer Pollard, and bet I could get value thrown in for that RB swap.

Signs a one year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.

Congrats to everyone who sold high on Edmonds

Does anyone think PIT doesn't draft a top 3 RB?

I actually think Edmunds is better than Conner, but neither one is a long-term answer.

You could be right. I think it's probably just a split backfield

I think Najee Harris is a natural fit for Pittsburgh.

It’s possible but no more or less likely than OL or CB, can’t count on anything til they’re on the clock and looking at best available.

Probably one of the better landing spots for Connor. He and Edmunds are different backs, but Connor is still able to catch a lot of balls if asked to. I'm sure Edmunds will get the majority of receptions, but both could have value. Especially if the other gets hurt. Connor is never going to wow fantasy owners since he doesn't have any outstanding traits, but could still put up a few more solid seasons.

Curious if this kills Arizona getting another RB.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them get another RB in the draft. It may not be a big name, but I wouldn't be surprised if they grab a body in the 4th round or beyond.

They don’t have a 4th rounder. They have their 1st and 2nd, and after that only a 5th and two 7ths. I think they have some bigger needs than RB, and with this signing I would find it hard to believe they take one with the 1st or 2nd. They could always make a trade and net more picks, but with what they have currently I would not be afraid of a rookie RB further muddying up the waters.

1) I did say 4th round or beyond
2) they can always trade back into the round.
3) if they have a rb at a 3rd round talent and they fall to the 5th round, they will take the player regardless of need. Like fantasy football you draft the best player available.
4) late and no rounders are certainly able to muck up backfields

I’m not trying to argue, but if NFL teams drafted BPA then QBs wouldn’t be going with likely the first 4 or 5 picks of the draft.
