Dynasty League Football Forum

Currently holding too many DL and need to cut the roster down to 5 before the end of NFL Super Bowl (start of new season for the league). Scoring is fairly standard for DE/DT with point per tackle, .5 for assist and 3 points for sack.

JJ Watt
Aldon Smith
Javon Kinlaw
Yetur Gross-Matos

Danielle Hunter and Chase Young look to be the easy holds. Unfortunately the rest do not have much trade valve in this league.
Initial thinking was cut Smith (possible move to LB, age and off field stupidity) and Kinlaw (DT and only 1 strong game).

Thoughts on how to rank and who to cut?

kinlaw is an easy cut for being a DT.
out of the rest, i'd be happy moving watt for whatever i could get and keep smith (same age, similar production this season, assuming watt's name would give you something better). being a 10 teams league and low scoring IDPs, i would even be happy selling hunter and keeping the oldies. if you can get something big for chase young, i'd do that too.

if you can't move any of them, it's a toss up between smith and watt (i'd lean watt, but it seems he gets injured a lot).

If not dt required then kinlaw would be the obvious 2nd cut along with smith. The chances of a DE like gross matos being viable are just much higher than for a DT even though from a football standpoint I think kinlaw is the superior prospect
