Interesting roll of the dice by IND, but I think I like it.
As long as we pull the plug if he is garbage to not get him 75% of snaps
In that case who would start (as a stash in SF leagues)? Brissett or Eason?
considering Brissett is FA, I'll bet Eason.

Yep, highly doubt they pay Brissett again. Eason will be a stash for SF leagues.

If there was a team in the NFL to get 2017 Wentz, it's the Colts.

+ Good offensive line (they can draft a LT this year)
+ Run game
+ His former play caller, who's still at least above-average at it
+ Now gets to play at least 8 games a year indoors

Hopefully, they also get regular season 2020 play caller and not 2020 playoffs play caller.

Reich didnt call plays, though he was heavily involved in the gameplans, obviously . . . Doug always called the plays though

I'm curious as well

I wasn't too impressed with Rivers' play in 2020, and am glad he decided to retire. It was time. Wentz would be an upgrade there I believe, even with his subpar play this season.
An upgrade, but a very expensive and risky upgrade.

Its logical to connect Indy and Wentz, but as a fan there are a dozen other options I would explore first.
Guess it seemed logical to the Colts too. And frankly, turns out the cost was not at all expensive. I'm not a huge Wentz guy. But I can't help but believe he'll do better than Rivers did last year with the quality team he has around him.

I fully expect Wentz to flirt with QB1 numbers in 2021. A high upside QB2 at worst. A bounce back season, and he probably sneaks into the top 12 dynasty QB again.

Too many good options at Q to fully expect that of him. He’s been on the decline so expectations should be lowered.

How do you think about Michael Pittman Jr now?

In SF ppr, I'd have to say mid to late 1st yet. Right after the top 2-3 qbs, top 1-2 rbs, 3ish wrs, and maybe Pitts. That's about the latest he should go. Picks are worse than a coin flip at that point, and Wentz has some proven track record, now in a stable environment, still could have 10+ years left if he works out, and at the most valuable position in SF. Could turn out to be a steal even for something like 1.05. Today could be his lowest value point for many coming years.

That being said, he could be rubbish and a backup qb in 2022 going forward.

Not after trade, but I traded Wentz in my 10 tm SF for a likely mid- 2022 1st about a week ago, I was viewing Wentz trade as sure-thing, but traded before because I’m loaded on QB’s, have been unsuccessfully trying to trade 1 for over a year, best offer I’ve received, and I do think guy is overrating his team / decent chance this ends up early pick / he was shopping that pick for a QB and I Wanted to be 1 to grab it. I figured 10 team, and i don’t think Wentz has pure stud upside anymore.

I traded Wentz and A. Cooper in a SF for 3.07, 3 x 2022 1sts, 2 x 2022 2nds, 2 x 2022 3rds. So I guess take out what you think Cooper is worth?
Really Colts is the best possible landing spot for him, from a value or optics perspective. If you are looking to move him, now is the time, I would bet there are some interested league members that would be inclined to deal based on landing spot.

He’s definitely a better fit with Wentz than with late career Rivers.

With Hilton likely gone, the depth chart is his for the taking.

Parris Campbell is also a solid buy low, though he'll have to stay healthy.
