PROBLEM IN REDRAFT

Ok, I'm the commish of a leaue, and a player DROPPED Ekeler even though we have IR spots.
He dropped him and I picked him up with almost all of my FA $.
Now I've got blowback, and that I should add him back to his roster.
I've got about the best roster in the league at 4-1, and I had the FA$ budget to outbid almost everyone, so I claimed Ekeler to put on my own IR.
I've offered up the reversal to a vote, should I have?
What are your thoughts.

You're 100% good.
Pretend it weren't you. Owner A dropped Ekeler, Owner B picked him up with all his FA $. Would you reverse it? No. Did you use any Commish insider info? No. Was this a gray area in the rules that you as Commish maybe should have stayed above board on? No.
Player X (in this case, Ekeler) was dropped, you bid on him, you won him.
Beginning and end of story.

I assume people had a problem with it AFTER you won him? No issues with the drop while he was on waivers? People were likely hoping they would win him and theyd be ok with it. Since they didn't win him, theres and issue. I see no problem with this unless the previous owner said it was an accident which he would have reported earlier

Yeah, I don't see the issue here. Seems like people are just butthurt.
