Will the Jaquars trade for a RB to replace Fournette? If so who is the most likely candidate to fit their scheme?

I think Ryquel Armstead steps up

I could see going after a Gus Edwards type but they are pretty cheap these days as they prep for the future.

Why would they trade for one? The last thing a tanking team wants to do is sink significant capital into a RB....or any capital, for that matter. If they do, they are even worse than I thought. Glad we have another Jags thread, though. Such an amazing team to clutter the board with....

No, and even if they did, you probably wouldn't want to start them. The Jaguars are going to stink. They're going to be playing from behind a ton. If anything, you should want their receivers. Chark could have a big year. Shenault could be a sneaky play as well.

What about Freeman in Denver? Will he fit their scheme?

Yes, but what about the JaQuars? I agree the pass catchers could benefit, although it will hurt the ability to run PA and move the football early on, they will rely on garbage time. Fournette was a better back than whatever they have right now.

EDIT: No fair, OP changed his spelling error. But still not in the post....

No, an Armstead/Ozigbo/Thompson committee until one emerges.

I picked up Ozigbo for free in all three of my leagues. I think he’s their only back with any significant upside. Not expecting much of anything, but seemed worth a speculative add.

I'd expect them to hang onto any draft capital. It seems silly to move Fournette for nothing but cap relief and then use draft capital to obtain a replacement. They are looking to rebuild. They will want to hang onto all picks possible, not use it to fill a hole they created at their own choosing.

I'm in the camp where they just roll with what they got. I don't see the benefit of Freeman choosing the Jags given they won't want to pay him much and won't be winning.

They will probably trade a few firsts for Leveon Bell.

They will give Armstead and Ozingbo some run with Thompson as a 3rd down back and see if anything sticks.

I don't see them trading for one. I could see them signing a few free agents.

This plus UDFA James Robinson has made some noise as a deep dart throw.
