Major Players Dropped

Postby MilwaukeesBest » Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:34 pm

I'd like to get your advice on the team below in sig. I have the 1st overall pick in the 5th round and plan to take H. Nicks. So I'll have:

WR: C. Johnson, H. Nicks
RB: A. Peterson, R. Rice, L. McCoy

My question is, at 50/51, what would you do with the options below? I was originally thinking QB/TE but with the surprises released, I'd like to get your opinion on who you'd expect to be there, and what route you'd take with those 2 picks. Here are the BPA, thanks so much in advance!

QB: Schaub, Roethlisberger, Romo, Ryan
WR: Austin, Wallace, Maclin, Marshall
RB: Turner, Mathews, Moreno, Ingram
TE: Clark, Davis, Finley
Team 1: 10 Team, 4 Keeper League, Non-PPR
QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt
WR: Julio Jones, Dez Bryant
TE: Rob Gronkowski

If Mike Wallace were there, I would take him and a QB. If not, I would go with QB/TE.
Start: 2 QB, 3 RB, 5 WR, 2 TE (All TDs=6, 1 per 10 rush/rec, 1 per 25 pass, NO PPR) 8 teams
QB: Rodgers, Vick, Cutler, Schaub, Luck
RB: Rice, CJ, McFadden, Richardson, Stewart, Ingram, Spiller, Vereen
WR: Green, Marshall, Roddy, Jennings, Roddy, Bowe, Maclin, Britt, A Brown, Williams (TB), Collie, Smith (STL)
TE: Graham, Finley, F Davis, Cook
Taxi Squad: Tebow, Crabtree, Jeffrey, Hill, Gordon

I would target Austin/Wallace and Romo/Ryan/Schaub.

Thx, it appears Wallace/Austin will be gone. How do you rank the QBs and TEs?

Lots of Packer fans in here, gotta love it

It seems everyone I ask has a different answer and there isn't much of a consensus. Problem is, I don't have a gut feeling on any of them. Thanks for the input so far!

Romo Schaub, Ryan, Big Ben
Clark Davis, Finley

Big Ben is not terribly consistent.
Romo has great targets, even better than Ryan. Plus I think the Dallas run game is going to stink again this year.
I'd be happy with Romo plus any of the tight ends. If it is PPR than Clark way ahead, otherwise Davis should have an uptick in targets with no Crabtree.
12 Team PPR TE Premium
(1) QB Stafford, Cutler
(1-3)RB: CJ Spiller, F Jax, Mathews, Latavius
(2-4)WR: AJ Green, C. Patterson, Alshon Jeffery, M. Floyd, J. Blackmon, M. Wheaton, M. Brown
(0-2)TE: Julius Thomas, Ladarius Green, K. Rudolph

It's non PPR. I don't want to overreact based off one game but Alex Smith and the SF line looked just horrendous, like they've actually regressed from last season. Vernon catches a lot of balls underneath but with Crabtree out, do you think that puts another pair of eyes on VD in coverage?
