Contract years advice

I've played a lot of fantasy sports but never involving contract years. Looking for a little advice. This new League allows 51 contract years over 17 players. You get three resigns a year with one being multi-year and the other two being one year deals. Can I pls have some input on how to put this all together as to not screw myself down the road. I'm four rounds into my draft and contracts don't need to be stated until post-draft but I'm concerned about having too many young players.
Thank you.

I would focus on drafting the best team and then worrying about contracts later.

On average, everyone gets three years. So, even if you have a young team, you'll keep it together for at least the intermediate-term. So, just draft your team then go from there.

Your going to give your older vets 1 yr deals, and younger studs longer deals. I'd look to have 3-5 players on a single year deal, and ensure you can have 5-8 players on 3-4 year deals. Try to structure deals so you can keep your core together. At the end of every year you will free up 17 years (for new signings/rookie draft) , and you will want some longer terms for them (didn't mention a taxi squad)

Also, I tend to draft high upside youth early, and fill in older vets (who have fallen, in the draft) where they present themselves as value
