Help me draft with 1.1 and 1.2 (rebuild)

Hey Guys,

I’m struggling with this one. 16 team superflex.
My roster:
Qb: none
Rb: Saquon
Rb: garbage
Rb: garbage
Wr: Mike Williams
Wr: a miller
Wr: garbage
Flex: garbage
SF: garbage
TE: Mark Andrews

I know the obvious answer is Burrow and Tua but does a 3 rb starting requirement make the rbs just as valuable? I feel like if I take Tua then I’m in the same boat to draft Trevor Lawrence next year and that’s another year wasted with Saquon. What would you guys do. Leaning burrow and CEH. Thanks!

No real interest from league mates to trade down either.
My picks : 1.1, 1.2, 1.14, 2.1, 2.15, 3.1, 4.1

1. I can tell this team is really bad because you don't list half the players and somehow Anthony Miller and Mike Williams made the cut of players to get listed.

2. It is not competing for the next couple years and in a 16 team SF, QBs are kings. I would say take a RB but the fact that you don't have a single QB makes this have to be Burrow and Tua. Maybe if you can OTC with 1.2 try and move back and get a couple more picks added so you can get more middle tier guys to build around. Maybe shoot for Herbert and Love and wait another year.

3. I know its hard to give up Barkley but you can't do anything with him right now and if you can sell him for a haul and jump start your rebuild I would. See what a competitor would give you for him.

I would take Burrow and Tua here. Since you need everything, I would get your QBs settled best on SF and go from there in the next few drafts. Barkley should still have 3-6 years of solid production in him, but if you are worried about wasting him, I would look for a big cash out that gives you multiple pillars for you long term.

Burrow and CEH for me. If the team is that bad I would consider offers for Barkley you could get quite a haul

Burrow and Tua easily. This is not close. I have no idea how you consider anyone else here.

Ironically in SF start ups I bang the drum for QB/QB to start the draft. In rookie drafts I am usually a bit more conservative (people who drafted Mitch and Rosen would probably agree with me lol). In your case though, you have to go Burrow and Tua here...unless QB scoring is super depressed.

I would also try to see what kind of package you can get for Barkley (Josh Jacobs +, Miles Sanders +...basically next tier down RB plus something) and Andrews (TJH +, Fant +).

Then at 1.14 with Burrow, Tua and probably Herbert off the board you should see a quality WR slip to you (Ruggs or Raegor I would suspect...assuming Vaughn also goes before 14, which he should considering your league set up).

Then at 2.1 will be one of the Mims, Pittman, Higgins group

Burrow and tua. Sell saquan. Literally sell just about everyone on your team, by the time you're ready to compete most of those players will be done. I'd even sell Andrews right now. Drafting should be focused on QB and wr. You got a bunch of years until you will be competing.

I wouldn't sell Andrews personally because I think he could be a top 3 TE for a while. He is only 23 and didn't play more than 60% of snaps all year last year. He should get a boost with Hurst out of Baltimore.

Burrow and Tua then trade Barkley for a couple of top young RB's + (Chubb/Mixon/Sanders etc).

You can then snag a couple of solid WR's at 1.14 and 2.01.

Before you know it you'll have a solid young core and can build for years to come.

If you really don't want both QB's wait until you're OTC and i'm sure someone will put in an offer to trade down.

You are actually in a good position if you are patient. Give it 2-3 years you could be contending if you use your picks wisely.

Scenario 1 goal would to be to come away with Burrow and Tua. Take them 1/2 unless you think Tua falls to the 4-5 range (ive seen this happening in many drafts). Trading down and still getting him would be ideal. Unless someone you love falls, I would try and get projected early 1sts with the 1.14 and the 2.01. 3 early first would go a long way next year with the projected QB class. You wouldnt have to draft Trevor #1 as someone would pay up for that pick.

Another option I would consider would be taking Burrow and then trading down to the 6-8 range. You will likely have your pick on Lawrence/Fields/Lance next year and going through this year with 1 QB isn't going to matter much. I would still look to trade your late 1 and early 2nd for projected early 1sts next year.

As far as Saquon....look for the right massive deal, dont just trade him to trade him.

And whatever you do, don’t let go of your 2021-2022 picks in trades. They will be early for the foreseeable future.

Burrow and CEH for me. Seems very likely you’ll be adding Lawrence next year.

QB/QB and Sell Barkley. You are in a deep dark place on that roster and until you can see some sunlight no RB should be safe on the roster because of shelf life. I would always take BPA but be active looking for trades that maybe move you back a couple spots and net more early picks next year. Basically be New England.

Based on the garbage spaces on your roster I would inquire on how cheap/free you can find Winston, Rosen and maybe Newton. Roster clogs for everyone else but you have nothing to lose so why not?

Burrow and Tua and sell Barkley.....I'd work on trying to buy receivers....hold your picks and draft RBs. Ideally see can you get two decent wideouts and some draft picks for Barkley
