Team stack, bad idea?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Team stack, bad idea?

Postby BoilerATC » Wed May 20, 2020 11:07 am

10 team dynasty league
1 QB, 2RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex
Large rosters with 7 spot taxi squad

QB's: Mahomes, Stafford, Cousins, Goff
RB's: MGordon, DJohnson, McCaffrey, Mixon, Mostert, Guice
WR's: Allen, Beckham, Evans, THill, Perriman, AJ Brown, Preston Williams
TE'S: Ertz, Hockenson, Waller

Picks in upcoming draft: 1.01, 1.09, 1.10, 2.09, 2.10

I was able to win the championship last season and before the season swapped my first last year for a first this year, it turned into the 1.01. So my already stacked team will be even better. Yay me. Here's my dilemma in the draft:

I have Mahomes and Tyreek Hill. At 1.01 I could logically take CEH or JT.
Does JT make more sense since I already have two Chiefs?

Also I'm high on Pittman at 1.09 or 1.10, does that dissuade me from JT? I doubt it.

Thoughts on stacking too many players from one team, even if it is the Chiefs? Better to spread out the talent to multiple teams?

Thanks!!!!

if i was gonna stack one team it would be the chiefs. if the 1.1 was a chiefs WR i could see hesitation but the RB in that offense will get his too

That is one of a very few offenses that I would stack. Have you floated out a possible trade for a proven vet? Rookie fever may land a a rb upgrade.

Chiefs would be the only team I would consider doing this with. Mahomes, Hill, Kelce and CEH.

KCC and BAL are the only teams I would feel comfortable stacking offensive players in dynasty. Maybe AZ but I need to see more from them first.
Team #1: 12-Team - PPR - *SF* - 4pt Pass - IDP
25 Roster + 5 Taxi | QB, RB, 2-WR, TE, SFLX, 3-FLX | DL, LB, DB
The Moore the Murray-er (2022 Champ 8-) )
QB: Burrow - Lamar - Kyler
RB: Ekeler - Saquon - Gainwell
WR: Amon Ra - Hopkins - Godwin - K.Allen- QJ - Hollywood - Diontae - Shaheed- Wandale - Woods
TE: Kelce - Engram - Ferg - Chig
DL: Hunter | LB: Okereke | DB: Bynum
'24 Picks: Late 1st, Early 2nd, Late 2nd

Team #2: 12-Team - PPR - *SF* - 6pt Pass - TE Prem
25 Roster + 5 Taxi | QB, RB, 2-WR, TE, SFLX, 3-FLX
Team #2 (0-0)
QB: Murray - Allen - Winston
RB: Cook - Saquon - Mattison - Hull
WR: Diontae - Tyreek - Lockett - Higgins - Chark - TMJ - Kirk - Dell
TE: Ertz - Engram - Mayer
'24 Picks: My 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had both Evans and Godwin in a few season long teams last year and they actually evened each other out, because when one wasn't scoring the other was. It's actually safer to stack players on the same team in a given week if you like the offense, because you're guaranteed more of the points. It will limit the ceiling on a weekly basis but raise the floor as well. Honestly I would just pick whichever one you think will be the better fantasy player, this seems like you're overthinking it.
