Sure, but say the players test negative going into the game and then 10 players on each team test positive afterwards? It could escalate very quickly

That's what happened with the Titans, all but 1 tested negative on Saturday, and 8 positive on monday.

I can't see the game being played, but we still don't know how many on each team tested positive. just "Multiple on both teams" ... 4 or 30?

I assume the NFLPA and NFL are talking and taking this one one slow...

When does the final testing get done for the Monday night game? Sunday? Is it before 1 PM? Can't even trust that game to happen with so few options left if someone gets a positive test for the Monday nighter.

There is no testing on game day, so the testing is done the day before, but if the quick test comes back positive, they do another test.

This is my issue with nep kcc game, they haven't announced how many or who are positive, after their "multiple from both teams" comment

I am pretty scared of starting anyone from Monday night games. If I have any other decent options I plan to fade MNF all year.

Where was this? They just reported that there were no positives from NE except Cam, and they are still waiting on results from KC but they only had one confirmed case so far, their PS QB.

I think the "multiple from both teams" was a bit of journalistic sensationalism. It is technically correct but quite misleading considering only one player from EACH team has tested positive so far. Hopefully this situation falls on the Falcons side of the COVID coin, not the Titans side!

NFL.com has run with this all day

It may have been updated in the past hour or two, but that was their own headline from about noon today

But again, the viral load of covid means you can test negative today and positive tomorrow. Look at the titans. 1 case on Saturday, while the rest of the team tested negative, on Monday 8 more test positive, the rest of the team tests negative and is isolated, by Saturday they have 11 more positive cases, for a total of 20 cases, when all but 1 of those 20 tested negative on Saturday, and have been isolating since Monday.

It’s the FB so most likely anybody of fantasy consequence interacted with him. Why tf can’t these idiots just socially distance, wear masks, and not go out? Bro you guys make hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions. How about being responsible and protecting your team and yourself from infection? My god

Who knows what the cause was, too soon to speculate

I read the NFL has been "willing to create 32 local bubbles" where all players and staff isolate at all times, but that the NFLPA wouldn't allow that at all. No idea if it's true. I'd guess we are either headed for that or for a shortened season.
