When and who is the first running back off the board in Rnd 1?

There are so many great headlines to watch for tonight but personally, I'm really excited to see if a team goes RB round 1. My bold prediction is Ravens take D'Andre Swift as the first RB off the board at pick 28. I think me being a Ravens fan is causing some bias but I really do think he's the total package. At least one or two mocks I've seen have him going there so it's slightly possible. I could also see none going tonight.

What are everyone else's thoughts? Who is the first RB off the board, what's the team/pick?

Swift will be, Taylor should be.

If Jonathan Taylor has worse draft capital than Josh Jacobs I will eat my socks.

I'll honestly be surprised if Taylor goes 1st round.

Same here, feel like the dynasty community is higher on Taylor than NFL teams. I wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor is the 4th RB off the board behind Swift, Dobbins and CEH.

The issue is context, Jacobs went where he was in my opinion because it wasn't as deep of a class and he fit what the Raiders wanted too well. The best situation for Taylor will be a power run scheme, I think the Ravens, Titans, Steelers, Seahawks (maybe?) are some of the most notable power run schemes and of these only the Ravens might take a RB and I think Swift's versatility will edge Taylor on their personal big board. Seahawks have too many holes to go RB round 1 in my opinion, but they've done it before so who can say.

I'll be surprised if Taylor goes round 1 based on his fit relative to team.

I still think Taylor is the #1 RB in the class, and should warrant 1st round consideration and be the first RB drafted, I just don't think it's going to play out that way. A big hangup for NFL people is Taylor's "mileage", but that is a dumb thing to hold against a 21 year old with zero injury history.

If Taylor falls it will be just as dumb if not dumber than when DK fell. Just an unreal level of over-thinking.

I think Taylor to the Ravens. Power back who can hit the home run.

I actually don't think any RB goes in round 1. I could see a team in the late first trading back and then taking them early in round 2.

I think this is a good fit for the Ravens too. They want to reduce Lamar's running. I know they have bigger needs, but sometimes you take the best player regardless.

sorry to the OP but my utterly uninformed pick on my final mock is Swift at 26 to the Dolphins

I’m starting to think the dolphins use their first pick in the second on a RB since it’s so early. Ravens if they want a rb can’t afford to wait until the late second in my opinion.

Taylor fits well on the ravens but I think they like Swifts fit better still.
