Question hasn't ever been about ability, the guy can play. His problems have been earning playing time early in his career and being available at all recently.

Hopefully he can stay healthy and eat in Philly but playing at MetLife more often than most teams .. yikes

MetLife's turf is getting completely redone this offseason FWIW.

Going with the new-gen field that the majority of the rest of the league is already on.

If they're both healthy - it's Penny quite easily.

But therein would lie the rub.

Even the earning playing time part mostly stemmed from an inability to stay healthy.

Dude averages 5.7 ypc for his career, which is bonkers. Of course his career consists of 337 carrys total. Last two years he’s been over 6 ypc. Would love for him to stay healthy for just one full year and show what his total year numbers could be. Talent is there.

He's a monster after contact too. 4.2 for his career, easily the best of the FA RB's.

Super smart low-risk signing by the Birds.

I am thinking Penny is the biggest beneficiary for fantasy production of this years FA. Great landing spot for his skill set.
Even if its not a full season, he is going to have multiple RB1 weeks next year.

And if they do away with pushing the QB into the end zone, he could have decent TD value too.

No interest. Been there done that too many times.

I'd probably throw a late 2nd. Or try two 3rds and see if anyone bites.

That Eagles O-line is dominant and Penny could do some damage... But if the over/under was 8.5 games played this season I'm taking the under.

I'm hoping he has a couple huge weeks early and I can sell to a buyer that's somehow unaware of his injury history.

Read an interesting piece by Noah Hills. Nick Sirianni’s history is he prefers to have a “workhorse” RB. Or a RB that see’s 60+% of the work. He’s been doing the committee backfield because that’s what the roster on Philly dictated.

I think Penny is a solid buy, everyone is injury prone until they aren’t. If Penny stays healthy (huge if) I think he’s virtually guaranteed to have a top 15 season in that offense. He’s a very good back.

I’m buying, when push comes to shove and philly needs to win, Penny is easily the best RB on the roster currently.

Late 2nds or early 3rds are dart throws and I think penny is a better dart throw then anyone in that range. I’d buy for that price, but having him on my roster it’d take an early 2nd at a minimum to take him from me if eagles don’t add a good rb in the draft.
