Re: Duke Johnson
The 3rd round pick sounds like a lock as well. He only needs to be active for 10 games to hit the 3rd round compensation.

Duke is ONLY relevant(and barely just so in PPR formats only) due to his pass catching. In four seasons he has: 61, 53, 74, 47 receptions.[He only averages 300+y and 1+ TD rushing those 4 entire years, so he doesn’t do much on the ground].

Re: Duke Johnson
Really nice spot for Duke. The Texans mix in a 2nd RB and Duke Johnson has untapped potential as a runner. Nice 3rd down back with upside if Lamar Miller gets banged up. I am shocked they gave up a 4th (that could become a 3rd) for him. They must see him as being a bigger piece than a backup/COP back.
Other takeaway from this is Keke Coutee becomes more risky this year. Before there were really no TEs or RBs on the team to steal targets in the passing game so Coutee had plenty of potential targets to eat even with Hopkins being a target monster and Fuller getting 6-7 a game. Now he might split some of those with Duke Johnson, and it might become a true target battle between Fuller and Coutee for fantasy relevance.

Re: Duke Johnson
You’re obviously just trolling, which the mods do encourage here, but Duke is a career 1.01 FPPT player. That is NOT GOOD for a scat back which he is. For example, D Williams had a 1.19 FPPT in Miami and a whopping 1.35 in KC. That is elite even for a pass catching RB, and it is ALL TIME elite for a bellcow RB.Valhalla wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:15 amWeird...I feel like someone...on the tip of my tongue...someone else...that I feel like you can't get off of...FantasyDumDum wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 8:09 am

This might show how f’ing stupid any comparison between these two RBs is:
Duke, on 534 career touches over 64 games played, only has 13 career TDs.
D Williams, on only 111 touches in 5.5 games, had 10 TDs last year alone.
That is a pace of 0.20 TDs per game for Duke, and 1.8 TDs per game for D Williams, aka 3.2 TDs per season for Duke, and 29.0 per season for D Williams.

Ah, good, glad we could get back to the important FPPT metric. I was worried it wouldn't be brought up.
Re: Duke Johnson
If you look at the Panthers game splits last year, you'll see the truth in CMCs performance.
Week 1 - 8 CMC averaged about 17 ppg in half PPR.
Week 9-16 CMC averaged about 25 ppg in half PPR.
Cam appeared on injury report for his shoulder week 8. A healthy Cam will not be check down charlie like he was when he couldn't throw it 10 yards.

Obviously you are also trolling, as again, the mods clearly encourage. But yes, FPPT is BY FAR(and it isn’t close) the most important and useful stat for RBs in fantasy.dynastyninja wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:41 am Ah, good, glad we could get back to the important FPPT metric. I wasn't trolling. I was trying to bring your attention to something...like maybe an ownership bias you have.
Also...comparing the two on FANTASY POINTS PER TOUCH when one has an unsustainably high TD rate (29 per season?!) and one has a rate that could be expected to rise to the mean...
I'd say this shows "how f'ing stupid" it is to compare two RBs based solely on their FPPT...but I've already explained why too many times to repeat it.

That’s way too myopic, and there is a CMC post up that lays out why.Bot101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:42 amIf you look at the Panthers game splits last year, you'll see the truth in CMCs performance.

Here are his 0.5ppr fantasy totals from each 8 game quartile of his career:
Games 1-8: 85
Games 9-16: 105
Games 17-25: 142
Games 26-32: 185
Now targets(as you claim that is what pumped up CMC’s Numbers):
1-8: 66
9-16: 47
17-25: 58
26-32: 66
Norv says he is getting even more touches next year.
It seems like the numbers completely belie your made up narrative.
