Mike Evans in 2020

Hey Everyone - Just curious to get people's thoughts on how well Evans will perform with the switch to Brady. While I think the offense as a whole will definitely improve, I'm worried about an overall reduction in passing attempts/volume and a shift away from downfield throws reducing his output. What do you think?

I definitely think his value takes a bit of a hit because I think Brady will use the TE's more than Winston did. I still think Godwin and Evans get theirs and he will definitely get his 1,000 + yard season and 8 plus TD's if he stays healthy. The Bucs should be more competitive this year so I doubt if both Evans and Godwin feast in garbage time as much as they used to. My biggest worry for both is if Brady insists on bringing Antonio Brown in, everyone's numbers would suffer.

My gut reaction is that Evans becomes even more boom or bust and Godwin’s floor and ceiling goes waaay up as he slays timing routes with Tommy.

In reality, chances are that Arian’s influence on the offense remains far superior to Brady’s and both Evans and Godwin’s values remain relative with a slightly lower ceiling.

The garbage time aspect is a good point. I think the team in general will be better, so all that garbage time usage that both Evans and Godwin fed on last year is likely going to dissipate.

If AB comes, everyone's production takes a dip. Hard to get much better than Jameis in all honesty, but TB should be fine with them

Wouldn't overthink it. Evans is their best receiver and they will get the ball to him at any level of the field.

I hope you’re correct. I also hope Tommy is smashing the highest grade of HGH on the planet (which I assume he is) to help ensure it.

I think Evans will be fine. I was thinking about AB maybe coming in, but forgot he and Arians had a bit of a back and forth a few years back in front of the entire country via the media, so I am not so sure it happens. Evans and Godwin will continue to produce, they are both excellent players.

If AB shows up, this will be a real glitch. Godwin will go back to being off the field on 2 WR sets. Hard to believe this could be a reality, but Brady will probably get what he wants, the more I think about it.

I'm not concerned with Evans with Brady. I also don't see them bringing in AB to a position they already probably have the best pair of WR in the league. Sure he's an excellent WR, but why introduce cancer to your lockroom for a position you already have covered.

Supposedly it was part of the negotiations that Brady wanted to bring him in, so I'm going to be surprised if it doesn't happen. Godwin will likely be moving on next year, so AB may be there for the duration of Brady's time in TB. He will be suspended though, so won't be able to play a full year.

Seems pointless. If it happens, AB won't last a year on the sidelines. He will crack.

AB isn't coming to Tampa ... Arians was very outspoken on him last year ..

That was last year, though. According to Rappaport and Pellissero, who are pretty tied in, they were under the impression (the Bucs) that Brady wanted to bring him in. So it's now a very real possibility.

For now I'm going to treat this as "I'll believe it when I see it" as it seems outrageous with the wrs they already have and the off field crap he brings.
Not saying it won't happen as teams have been shown to be straight up dumb sometimes. Would actually give me a good laugh in these times.

I think Godwin is their best WR. Evans should be solid but not elite IMO
