Yep. That's why most of these college coaches stay in college. Well, that and the money/security is probably a bit better. If it were so easy to walk into the NFL and drop those kind of numbers, more guys would have done it by now. Besides, an "air raid" offense isn't really anything new, and it's never really got teams anywhere. How many Super Bowls did the "run and shoot" offense bring in? Chip Kelly had a bit of success early, but the team he had at his disposal vs this Cardinals team, is apples and oranges.

I highly doubt that. A lot of "rose coloured glasses" DJ owners around here. The reality is, it's a rookie HC, implementing a new system on a bad team. That projection is a long shot at best. 107 catches, and 1119 yards are the the receiving records of the two main categories. I'll take the under to the bank, especially since Damien Williams is going to break those records.
Ha! I forgot about damien. I guess Dj will have to settle for second place finishes.

Those are some lofty goals. I do think it is dubious to think we can forsee wether the cardinals offense will be the worst in the league or just below average. They are completely changing offensive systems and are possibly bringing in a new qb. That is a lot of change so there will be a learning curve, but it could prove fruitful. Or Kingsbury will be fired week seven and mike mccoy will be hired as his replacement. Noooooooo

A bounce back, but short-lived. One year

Assuming it's your team #1 and there's no massive juggernaut teams in your league, I would accept that and not think twice about it.
10-team standard, 18-man rosters (plus K/D + 1 IR + 2 TAXI)
1QB | 2RB | 2WR | 1TE | 1FLEX
2021: 8-6, 5th (AP: 76-50 / 60.3%, 3rd) ||| Runner-up
2022: 5-1, 2nd (AP: 47-7 / 87.0%, 1st)

QB: Hurts, Russ, Carr
RB: Chubb, Pierce, Swift, JRob, D'Ernest, Ford
WR: Diggs, Evans, GDavis, Nuk, Keenan, Hollywood, Mooney, CSamuel, Doubs
TE: Kelce, Dulcich, Fant
2023 Picks: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th
2024 Picks: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th

Bounce back from what? He had a pretty great 2nd half
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

What do owners expect out of 27/28 year old backs coming off injuries/inefficient years and year offs like DJ and Bell in dynasty? 1 year of elite production? Then 2–3 years of falling off?

Look at Shady McCoy. If you had drafted him at 27 in the 2016 off season, you would have gotten an elite year out of him in 2016 at RB4, a near elite year the next at RB7, then at age 30 this year RB38.

I think that would be an above average outcome for either DJ or Bell in their current team situations. I would be a little surprised if either had as successful careers from 27/28 years old on as RB4, RB7, RB38. Of course there is a chance that they do that but I think is bordering on the upper bound of their potential outcomes to think they’ll be that elite again and for any extended amount of time, whereas their potential future floors are getting lower and lower at their age and in their team situations.

Exactly. He had 1,400 total yards and 10 total TDS in a “down year”, so to speak. I think that’s his floor for the next couple of seasons. It can really only get better for him, as far as his situation goes, imo.

Didn't he finish RB 8 too in standard scoring? He had like 5 points over the first 4 games too coming back after missing all of the year before.

So basically from weeks 5-16 he was a top 5 RB
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)

That sounds about right. He was actually pretty good last season but the Cardinals as a whole were so bad and with Johnson’s first few seasons, it kinda spoiled everyone, imo.

I think it's mostly his first 4 weeks were dreadful and people never really got over that mindset
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
