I won't be shocked if Johnson is considered more valuable than Cook a year from now.

Got this gem:
My Juju and 2020 first (1.14) for Hunter Henry and Devin Singletary

Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
I also won't be shocked if Johnson is worth no more than a late-2nd a year from now and Cook put up another top-5 season. It's a horrific trade offer of a bunch of dimes for a dollar.

Another year, another thread of "bad" trade offers.jenkins.math wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:56 am Got this gem:

Henry = 1st
Juju > Singletary... But by how much realistically? Juju just posted an awful year and Singletary looks good.
When I look at this thread, I expect to see something like
Lamar Jackson for Rivers, Witten and Gore
Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
Never said it was a good offer. Just think this could be one of the ones that is laughed at initially and then ends up being completely lopsided the other way 1 year later, especially depending on what could be with that 2 06 in this years draft. Every single one of these bad trade threads has trades in them that actually would have been a good trade.
Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
Lol. I can totally see someone in my league making an absurd offer like that. As a lottery team with a few bright young players, I expect to see some questionable offers myself. But not until the summer. Unfortunately most of my league hibernates now.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:13 amAnother year, another thread of "bad" trade offers.jenkins.math wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:56 am Got this gem:

Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
Well you know, Rivers might be in a new city looking to prove himself. Witten is rejuvenated after spending 2018 in the booth and Frank Gore is immortal. All of that coupled with Lamar’s likely regression...Paul717 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:33 amLol. I can totally see someone in my league making an absurd offer like that. I completely & totally understand that every owner has a different perspective re: trading - as such I personally only consider 'bad trades' to be offers where the number of things to make you win the deal are unlikely - sort of like give Ezekiel Elliott for a 2022 3rd type offer. Yes maybe in 3 years the player you draft in the 2022 3rd ends up being the next Zeke - but the # of things go that way. A trade where I can see what goes up coming down to me is not a bad offer even if it looks that way at this snapshot in time.
So yes something like
Lamar Jackson for Rivers, Witten and Gore
or
Fournette for Doug Martin 2019 3rd and a 2020 4th
Bad
whereas something like
Odell Beckham for Adam Thielen
or
Kerryon Johnson for 2020 2nd
*shrugs*
But we all value players differently, and there is nothing wrong with having a different perspective than consensus as long as you are prepared for the reaction.

Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
Contract is up next year, so I am actually trying to unload. The whole, bad teams ponying up the money to invest in a FA Rb scares me, injuries aside. I would not do that particular offer listed, since I know more can be had, but I kind of thought the same thing. I remember some eerily similar AB trades going down his first or second year, and people going nuts that someone could project him to be worth more than a late second.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:16 amNever said it was a good offer. Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
This time last season Juju was seen as a top 15 overall dynasty asset by virtually everyone. Now he is barely worth more than Singletary? Considering the dumpster fire that was Pitt, lumping Juju and Singletary that close together seems like too much redraft thinking and not dynasty thinking.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:13 amAnother year, another thread of "bad" trade offers.jenkins.math wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:56 am Got this gem:

Lol I never said he was worth barely more... Just illustration how this may not be THAT bad of an offer. Certainly not one to come and complain about imojenkins.math wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 11:32 amThis time last season Juju was seen as a top 15 overall dynasty asset by virtually everyone. Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers
Not a formal offer but the comments on these...
Guy reached out to me asking about Julio Jones and Phillip Lindsay (he has freeman). Now what I've started to do with a lot of these trolls who ask after players is give them a "maybe" price and a "definitely" price. In this case, I said if you give me 2 1sts (both Early), I'll think about it, if you give AJ Brown, one early 1st and a late 2nd I'll definitely do it. For the record - DLF trade analyzer which I did not consult until after I gave him the quote, has the "maybe" about 5% in his favor and the "definitely" about 7% in mine.
Here's the guy's response (cut and paste):
"That's way too much. You're crazy to ask that kind of price for a washed up 33 year old receiver on a shitty team who I've heard is about to retire, plus an RB who's about to get beat out by the best young RB in the game. I'll give a late 2nd for both or nothing and that's a gift."
He proceeds to send that offer (2.09 for Julio and Lindsay).
I reject with the following response:
"If being 'washed up' means putting up 1,400 yards receiving, then I'll gladly keep this 'washed up' 30 year old receiver. As far as 'retiring', please cite your source. As far as Freeman being the 'best young RB in the game', Quads Barkley, Josh Jacobs, and Mr. McCaffrey might have a little something to say about that."
His response is priceless:
"Julio did NOT put up 1,400 yards this year, why you spouting this BS? Like you say, 'cite your source'. He's overrated, never was more than a WR2 in his career and he's fading fast. And you know it because you're willing to trade him. Just like to know Lindsay ain't gonna be the starter next year so you're willing to trade him."
Ummmmm...what? Lay off the crack dude...Julio was THE wr4 in this league this year. Not A WR4, THE WR4. And he was the reason I beat this idiot in the semifinals.
And some people wonder why I hate trading.
