Josh Jacobs vs 1.01/1.02

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Are you saying you were offered the 1.01 AND the 1.02? I’d smash accept that myself, even if I wasn’t getting an early 2nd on top.

Gonna assume 1.01 OR 1.02 here. I'd hold Jacobs. Very possible the pick turns into a stud but I'll take the sure thing. Jacobs is having an outstanding rookie season.

Agree. There's a good chance the player taken with that pick ends up being better, but by how much? Jacobs is already looking like a young stud and why pass up on that and go after a player who may or may not be a little better?

I would hold unless the offer is both the 1.01 and 1.02.

I'd hold Jacobs as he's already a proven commodity. With that being said I really like Jonathan Taylor or Swift a bit more but all of that depends on landing spot as well.

I think the 1.01/1.02 and early 2nd is already more than fair and not sure you can get more. You can always ask for a 2021 1st instead of the 2nd, but don't see that happening. This is probably a case of one owner making a fair (and maybe even an overpay) offer, but the other side rejecting it because it doesn't make sense for their team.

I'm confused. Is this Jacobs for just the 1.01, or Jacobs for the 1.01 and early 2nd?

1.01 OR 1.02 and early 2nd. OP can correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct. 1.01 or 1.02 and an early 2020 2nd.

Forget that. Hold Jacobs. He's been a top ten back. I wouldn't move that for just a dart throw, even if it is the 1.01.

I'd take the picks. Jacobs is a very talented rusher, and I think he will be solid RB2 for a while. Lack of receiving production would make me lean toward the picks. Wouldn't be that hard a decision for me either.

I think I’d hold off for right now, but I may change my tune after the NFL draft, at which point that offer may not be available any more.

I say this because I do think there’s gonna be 1-3 better players in this draft over Jacobs, but I’m not comfortable guessing who just yet. Draft will settle a lot of things. But it may settle things for your trade partner too, and they will pull out.

One thing though, it’s gotta be 1.01, not 1.02. Started explaining my reasoning why, but I think it’s pretty clear.
