I mean...he's got 5 TDs and 1 INT, doesn't exactly have a stud WR corps and is a rookie in his 3rd game. With those things in mind...seems pretty solid to me. He made a couple of pretty ballsy throws on the 2nd TD drive for big gains. Is he the next Mahomes? No. Might he develop into an above-average QB2? I think yes, and I think that's worth a roster spot in a typically deep dyansty league (325+ players rostered).

That one to Dede should count for at least a half, no? LOL. I mean, it doesn't get much easier than that for a WR in the NFL. The loft and touch, and placement on that ball was so nice. Just wanted to mention the non TD throw.

I've got a new idea for a league...

Looks like a future starter in the league to me. Not everyone can be an all pro and if he improves he could be a top 20 QB

I hope he can build and have success. His personality is made for stardom, now lets see if his game is as well.

On a deeper note, I'll be watching to see how he develops. For years the Leach Air Raid put up prolific numbers but never produced an NFL quality QB. Mahomes shattered that last year, but could we have a 2nd quality starter in as many years coming from that system? Curious to see if these are 2 blips on the radar or if we start to see some sort of trend.

Jared Goff also came from an Air Raid system. I think he qualifies as an NFL quality QB. Mayfield and Murray are promising as well. Other notable Air Raid QBs starting this week: Luke Falk, Mason Rudolph, Case Keenum, and (probably) Kyle Allen.

I concur. Not saying he is amazing or lights out - but he is definitely, at the very least, making a statement that with development & the right system he can be a franchise starter. That does not mean he IS one - just that he's making enough noise for teams to consider the possibility.

And like mentioned above, this is going to have more value in a SF/2QB league than in a 1QB league (unless its 14-16+ teams), so in the end its fantasy relevance for 1QB PPR leagues might simply be that you keep him on your roster to (a) stream or (b) keep out of hands of owners who need productive QBs.

I said before, that Minshew would need to play well enough to justify not being benched - and this is a good start - especially since this is a wide open division atm. Lets see how this plays out and how teams defend him once they get enough tape.

I like what I see so far. He seems to have good rapport with the team and has the confidence of a starting QB. I fully expect Foles to take the starting role back, but Minshew has done well so far to challenge that.

Foles is done, we have seen the future and it is colored Minshew! I am just happy to be living in his world.

Aaron Rodgers has 203 and 209 passing yards in his 2 games. He must be mediocre too.
He has been this year thus far. But he’s also a proven commodity and his situation isn’t comparable. I just don’t understand the love for a backup playing like a backup.
A 250yrd per game average makes you a 4000 passer over 16 games

So while 200 yards in a game isn't going to make headlines is really just a bit below a a very respectable average.

Plus just simply using yarda as a way to measure a QB is very stupid
